Dec.7th.....Worst holiday gifts....

I came across this article and some of the items were pretty good...well pretty good in terms of bad holiday gift ideas.... I myself thought the back razor or the hitch critter might be appropriate for giving.hehe. Check it out for yourself.... http://tech.ca.msn.com/holiday-guide/photogallery.aspx?cp-documentid=22769677

Nov.30th... deflated...

5 seconds! 5 seconds! I can't believe it. I was literally speechless after last nights rider game. It's funny but it was a really neat feeling to see all of the green come spread out over our city like a wave. I would drive downtown over the wknd and there was not one second that I didn't see green! I love the passion. Even older grandma's were out there cheering and rockin their rider gear! I felt they played so great. Too many players on the field! Brutal! Maybe we got too excited, too soon. I don't know. OOOH poor Gainer! Well Rider fans we came close, it should have been our cup but as my dad said "we have to hold our heads high".
YAAAAA!!!

YAAAAA!!!

This was sent to me.... NEED I SAY MORE!!! WoOOOHOoo goo Riders!!!
Are Fanny packs making a come back!?!

Are Fanny packs making a come back!?!

Recently RiRi was seen wearing a fanny pack. Now have fanny packs ever been a fashion statement in a good way? RiRi is a fashion queen, trying all sorts of new and extreme things but the fanny pack? Of course this particular fanny pack wasn't a no name, it was made by Louis Vuitton. Check it out. Would you wear one? Do you seem them coming back?

Nov.13th....Aaah Friday the 13th...

Well hope your Friday is going good! This weekend I will be teaming up with my Arthritis friends for the Jingle Bell Walk and Run for Arthritis. It is happening on Sunday out at Heritage Park. This is a non-competitive, fun, family oriented fundraising event for the Arthritis Society. We get to dress up in holiday costumes! If you are interested in helping out the Arthritis Society just head to www.arthiritis.ca for more information.

Nov.11th...Online shoppers....

Well online shoppers if your a fan of eBay then your going to like this. eBay has launched a site called The Inside Source, it's a new online digital magazine. The mag is focusing on what eBay shoppers are searching for, or buying and selling. You can find featured stories on fashion, home and garden, news, pop culture and more. If you like fashion I found that there are some pretty interesting articles on there.
Nov.10th....Soon to be cold out...Would you?

Nov.10th....Soon to be cold out...Would you?

I have often thought that I would like to have a nose warmer in the cold winter days but this picture made me think twice. hehe. Would you wear one? I wonder how big of a profit this company/person makes off of these?

Nov.4th...KOL Clothing line....

If your a fan of Kings of Leon well you'll probably like their new venture. The band has teamed up with French fashion house Surface To Air to create a 12-piece collection. The line is said to come out in Dec. I went to their concert when they came to the dome this year and I am a big fan of their music but their concert I found was extremely disappointing! It was awkward from the start when the drummer freaked out on one of the equipment men, and they just seemed so insincere to me. Hopefully their clothing will be better than their stage presence!

Nov.2nd!....RiRi....

Well I guess Rihanna is ready to speak out and she will be doing it this this week. Rihanna will have a one-on-one with Diane Sawyer which will air Thursday on "Good Morning America" and Friday evening on the news magazine "20/20." Will you watch it? I am intrigued to hear what she has to say, a little skeptical that she will actually speak directly about the issue of domestic abuse and everything that surrounded her and Chris Brown. It's her life and it really isn't any of our business but It would be nice to see her stand up for herself and maybe empower other women in the same situation. Just my thoughts... I guess we'll see what happens...

Oct.29th...Acting abilities?

Yaaa so I was lucky enough for Marc to ask me to be involved in the Marc Vs. Fuzzy $10,000 Charity Challenge, I don't know if Marc will be as lucky. haha This Challenge was for the boys to create a scary 3 min movie and I am tight lipped but all I have to say is that after the film debuts at the Whiskey Night club my handlers will be dealing with everything from then on. Hehehe. Just teasing but I do kind of feel the pressure. What if I screwed up Marc's video! AAAh I'm nervous! Ok well good luck boys! If your interested in checking it out be down at the Whiskey for 9ish, after that check out our facebook page and of course right here on the VIBE 98.5 website.

Oct.27th...Halloween has come early for the ladies...

Ladies! Since Halloween falls on the wknd I am here to give you my treats early. Half naked men. haha. Tomorrow is our ladies night down at the Backalley and I have some goodies for you. Oct.26th...Halloween costumes....

Oct.26th...Halloween costumes....

Does anyone have any Halloween costume idea's? I am always so bad for getting fancy for Halloween, the norm is I usually stir something up a couple of hours before I go out. This year I am hoping to have something at least a couple of days before. haha oh how times have changed. hehe. I was searching on the Internet and came across the balloon boy costume. It definitely made me laugh and it is actually a Saskatoon company marketing them so that's two points for it. But I thought I'd see if anyone had any good idea's, so if you do...Throw them at me at cloucks@vibe985.com

Oct.23rd...Busy wknd....

Well if your looking for something to do this weekend you won't be short for idea's. Tomorrow VIBE is at the women's show and Marc and Fuzzy will be trying to sell their calendars for the Marc Vs. Fuzzy $10,000 Charity Challenge. Our crew, including myself will be at Chinook for Bra's for a cause in the day and then at night hopefully your going to join us for the first ever Bra's for a cause Wine tasting at Zyn in Inglewood. Sunday we will once again be down at the Women's show so come say hi and oogle over the Y&R special guests.

Oct.21st...Elbow bumps???

With the spread of the H1N1 Virus health officials are informing the public with ways of how to try and prevent the flu. One way is to not shake hands but instead bump elbows. I am taking this virus very seriously don't get me wrong but honestly can you see business agreements being settled on an elbow bump or when just meeting someone you awkwardly bump elbows. hehe. Ok yes this is a very simple thing to do if in fact it helps the big picture but it did make me smile envisioning different encounters and different circumstances where you would use the elbow bump. Have you switched up your handshakes to the this new form of greeting?

Oct.20th...Car Buddies?

This week in Calgary it's Carpool week. This is Calgary’s 7th Annual Carpool Week Campaign. Carpooling a way to battle climate change, you can save some money all while saving energy and reducing traffic on the roads...If you want more info on this head to www.carpool.ca. And a word to the wise...If your coming to the station to pick up some prizes there is a car pool lane just out on Centre Street and I have heard numerous times that police will pull you over and give you a ticket, so watch the signs...
Oct.19th...NO, NO, NOOO!!! Please NO!

Oct.19th...NO, NO, NOOO!!! Please NO!

I'm sorry but I absolutely cannot stand the show Jon & Kate plus 8, I really dislike hearing about all the drama surrounding them. Truthfully I will not even purchase a magazine if they are on the cover. haha. I know that these people have a gazillion followers that are very intrigued with their lives but I can't do it. And now this could possibly be one of my worst nightmares coming true!!! Octo mom (you know the lady who has a total of 14 children!!!) has said in an interview that she thinks Jon Gosselin is hot! Can you imagine if these two individuals got together! Please don't let this happen.

Oct.15th...Came across this...

For Thanksgiving I was lucky enough to head back to the Motherland of Saskie, my flight was an hour late and while we sat on the plane I was worried that my boyfriend would be waiting at the airport for all that time. Luckily I did manage to get ahold of him but this past week I came across a web site that while flying it will update your status on facebook and twitter as to where you are thus helping those who are picking you up. "While you're in the air, MySkyStatus sends altitude, location, departure and arrival updates automatically to your Facebook and Twitter pages" I haven't been able to actually try it out as you have to put in your flight details so I'm not sure if it actually works but I will be trying it on my next flight....

Oct.14th...Drunk driving charges for passengers as well?...

I came across this article about how China is now starting to lay charges not only against the drunk driver but to the passengers in the vehicle as well. I personally thought it was a great idea. Check it out.... http://news.ca.msn.com/world/cp-article.aspx?cp-documentid=22212106
Oct.13th...Turkey TV!!!

Oct.13th...Turkey TV!!!

OK I know that sometimes I am a huge dork but this has taken the cake I think! I'm sure if you were flipping through the channels last night you saw this as well. Turkey T.V.!!! haha I still can't get over it. Now I know that there is the Christmas fire log during Christmas time but Turkey T.V.!?! Is this new or have I been completely out to lunch on this one? At first when I tuned in, on the screen was the turkey and the fire in the background and here I am thinking oh how boring at least at Christmas time an arm comes out with a poker and stirs the fire but then it happened!!! Turkey T.V.

Oct.9th...Wooohoo Technology!!!....Happy Turkey Day!....

In the paper today I saw something that made me very happy! Duracell has come out mobile reserve charges, meaning its portable backup chargers for cell phones and things with usb plugs. They have different kinds for what your looking for but the idea is that you can get one of these things and just throw it into your purse! So perfect. Yes maybe you have a home and car charger but sometimes there are those occasions that your not able to access those, head to the store and get one of these guys and your set. I'm sold, I want one, I want one. I have not seen them out in the stores yet so if you have please email me!

Oct.8th.... Tomorrow Morning...

I'm super excited to go out, have a popcorn dinner and check out The Couple's Retreat! This movie looks really funny so I can't wait! This morning and tomorrow I am able to fill in in the morning's with Marc and Fuzzy and tomorrow we will have Malin Akerman from The Couple's Retreat on the phone telling us all the behind the scene's lowdown! Should be good. Talk to you then.

Tomorrow come join me at Kal Tire (10999 40th Street S.E) if you are in need of winter tires, they are going to have great deals! Seeing as how it is supposed to snow (Gasp!) over night you might want to start thinking about it. We will also be down at Chinook Centre selling paper bra's for the VIBE 98.5 Bra's for a cause. Don't forget that the Flames play their second regular season game tomorrow and the Stamps are also playing. Have a good wknd!

Sept.30th...Free Concert Tickets!...

If your trying to get hooked up with Sean Kingston tickets you might be in luck. Tonight I will be down at the Backalley(4630 Macleod Trail South) and will have a couple pairs to give away! Don't be shy! Come and ask me, that's what I there for! The show happens tomorrow night at MacEwan Hall.

Sept.29th... Banners...

I'm sure when your cruising across the bridges in the city you have noticed the banners that are put up. Well I personally didn't know that last year the city started getting local talent to design them! The program was started to create open air art galleries. I think it's a neat idea. Make sure you keep your eye's peeled for the 2010 banners. The old banners are also available to buy and the proceeds go towards the United Way.

Sept.28th... Pumpkins!

I have been trying to avoid the fact that fall is here and that winter is coming but yesterday it finally hit me. Yes the weather has been quite telling but no it wasn't that. I was in Safeway and there it was, the big bin of PUMPKINS! Carving pumpkins I find can be fun at any age. Every year we team up for The Unicef Pumpkin Carving Contest, this event is one of my favorites! If you have any idea's for us this year and what we should carve please let me know!

Sept.25th...Although I don't love winter, I do like snowboarding....Get your gear...

Happy Friday! Hope the weekend is a good one. Although I don't want to admit it and really the past week hasn't really felt like it but winter is in the near future. If your like me and dread the cold months and try and create fun things to do like snowboarding then you might want to check this out. The Burton Sample sale is going on today and tomorrow. (FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 25TH 9 AM- 8PM AND SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 26TH 9 AM- 5 PM) I went last year to get some gear and they had a great selection. They have great deals on boards, boots, clothes etc... So if your a boarder and need some gear you might want to check it out.

Sept.22nd...Elle Auto Care....

Elle Auto Care is a car repair shop that is owned by a woman and targets other women. Sylvie is the owner and after having bad experiences herself she wanted to start up something different. In my opinion this is such a great concept!

I sat down with her and one of her goals is to give women confidence when it comes to car repairs. I know personally I really don't know a lot about cars and when I walked into her shop she helped me understand. Sylvie and her staff will take you into the back and show you exactly what is wrong with your vehicle, why and what the process is of getting it fixed.
Sept.21st...Walk A Mile In Her Shoes...

Sept.21st...Walk A Mile In Her Shoes...

Today was the Walk A Mile In Her Shoes Event and as usual it was a blast. This was Marc's first year but Fuzz has had some experience in high heels before. hehe. The boys did great! They didn't fall once and they along with 114 other men helped out a great cause! All the money raised goes towards the YWCA Sheriff King Home in the city which helps women and children get away from domestic violence. Sept.14th...Finally went...

Maybe it's the Saskatchewan in me coming out or maybe it's just cause I'm a weirdo and like weird things but I finally made the trip out to Torrington Alberta. What's in Torrington you ask? Only the world famous gopher museum! lol. Awhile ago I came across a website for the museum and it had me on the floor laughing. It's quite creepy, the museum has stuff gophers dressed up in little outfits and they are placed in little scenes! I just couldn't fathom that someone actually gets these gophers and put them in little suits. I'm sure that some people think it's cruel, even the lady at the museum said they receive terrible letters. I decided that I had to see this place at some point in my life and well this past weekend I was able to cross it off of my list. Boyfriend and I got in the truck drove about an hour and a half only to find a tiny little place that literally took about 5 to 10 mins to go through. haha! Personally I think that added to the experience. I don't know why I had envisioned the museum larger but nope it was a little room. Here are some of the pictures...
Sept.11th....Thought these were neat....

Sept.11th....Thought these were neat....

Ikea has these work lamps out that are solar powered. They have all colors all while helping conserve energy....

"Solar cells transform sunlight into electrical energy - requires no electrical connections. Runs on solar cells that transform sunlight into electricity; helps you save energy and reduce your environmental footprint. LED consumes 70% less energy and has at least 4 times longer life than incandescent bulbs in similar decorative lighting"

Sept.9th...If you like fashion and Perez Hilton...

Perez Hilton has launched a new website and this time it all about fashion. The site is www.cocoperez.com. So far it looks pretty simple, nothing to fancy but I'm sure as he built up his gossip site this one will become just as powerful. Check it out.
Sept.7th...Lady Gaga Ear Buds!

Sept.7th...Lady Gaga Ear Buds!

This is neat! Lady Gaga is launching some awesome Ear Buds along side Dr.Dre. The line of Headphones is called Heartbeats. The Lady Gaga Heartbeats look like jewels and were designed to celebrate “the art and lifestyle of music,” the singer says. The product is said to launch in October.
Sept. 3rd...Jeggings?

Sept. 3rd...Jeggings?

What do you think?...This is susposed to be a major trend for fall...

"First it was leggings, then treggings (trouser leggings), and this season, we’re looking at jeggings which are, you guessed it, denim leggings. At first glance, these pants could look like super skinny jeans, but up close, it won’t take you long to figure out that you really do see every single curve and tendon—and if they’re made of super stretchy elastic material, those little snags in the soft jeggings fabric are kind of a giveaway."

Sept. 2nd...Ranting about the Rats!

So apparently this rat problem that we are having is fixed. I don't believe it. The other day it was said that 4 or 5 rats were seen in the cities North East and now the inspectors came in and said there was only one rat and it has been caught.Adding to that it was reported that the Bylaw officers received about 70 calls about rat sighting, yes maybe people go confused about squirrels etc. but 70 is a lot of calls. Now maybe I'm a bit harsh on the subject since I've been getting teased around the station with people saying that the rats or supposed rat, came from Saskatchewan! But somehow I find it very hard to believe that there is only one rat in our province! Hey maybe I'm wrong but come on doesn't it seem a little sceptical.
Sept.1st...gidzets....

Sept.1st...gidzets....

Here's an interesting necklace I read about... Jewelry designer Stephanie Simek has created the Sound Locket.

"A ribbon of sounds contained in a necklace made from cassette tape, steel, and silk. Each pendant holds a song on a tightly wound cassette tape that was made especially for this project by soundmakers from around the world. The hand-dyed silk cord is adjustable in length and is color specific to each song. The unisex necklace comes packaged in a soft pouch within a larger box that includes a CD of all 5 tracks created for this collaboration. The CD design is also

Aug.31st...Have you ever?...

Have you ever gone through the "What if I die tomorrow" Phase? haha well lately I've been going through this phase and I think that it is going to make me broke. One of my best friends (who lives back in Saskie) is moving out to B.c. to go to school and this past Friday my other girlfriends had a going away party for her. Well all day Friday I was getting txt's from my girlies talking about this party, saying wish you were here, when was the last time we were all together etc. well after whining that I wouldn't be there some of my co-workers kept saying go, go you only live once! Well after my shift finished I headed for the airport without even toothpaste and got on a flight.

Aug. 27th...Larry King....

The other day Chris Brown found out his fate in regards to the beating of Rhianna. Brown must be on 5 years probation and do hard community service. Today it was revealed that he taped an interview with Larry King. The interview will apparently be aired next Wednesday and reports have come out saying that Brown did not dodge any questions, allowing King to ask anything. If your intrigued to see what he has to say tune in to Larry King Live.

Aug.26th...If you like hockey...

This past week the Olympic Hockey Orientation Camp has been happening in our fine city. This is where the creme de le creme of hockey players come to try out for the 2010 Canadian team for the Olympic's. Lot's of people going crazy over this. Well the past couple of days it has been closed to the public but tomorrow they will be opening it up. The players will be split up and play a game against each other. This would be pretty great to see considering the amount of talent that will be in the dome. The last I checked you could still get tickets so if your interested head to Ticketmaster.

Aug. 18th...CrossIron Mills...Traffic...

The new mall! The new Mall! Tomorrow is the start to the big grand opening of CrossIron Mills. I know that I will be heading out at some point to view the said fashionistas heaven. As far as the coming week goes traffic will probably be busy in the area so here's what CrossIron Mills is saying in that regard...

Heavy traffic is expected on Wednesday, August 19, on Hwy 2 and Deerfoot Trail as shopping enthusiasts head north of the city for the grand opening of CrossIron Mills, the first enclosed shopping centre to be built in Western Canada in 20 years. Eager Albertans will be heading to Rocky View County to experience the destination where more than 200 premium shops, restaurants and amenities will be opening their doors at 9:00 a.m.

Aug.14th... Rain Rain Rain...Shoulderbrella...

Aug.14th... Rain Rain Rain...Shoulderbrella...

With all of the rain recently I keep trying to think of positive things that come along with it...I love the smell of rain...going for runs in the rain etc...but this invention might make people happy. haha...check it out, The Shoulderbrella...

" this Japanese invention ensures that even when it’s raining, you have one hand for your coffee and the other free to hold your mobile phone."

"The Shoulderbrella, available in several colors, simply screws on to the bottom of your umbrella. From there, you can wrap it around one shoulder or both. "

Aug.13th....Made it back!

Woohoo! I made it back from Costa Rica without being bitten by a big spider. Although I did see many. Ehh! I have tons and tons of pictures and video that I will be able to put up on here. A huge thanks to the Arthritis Society and our Joints In Motion team! Everyone that I met was awesome and it's really quite incredible how strangers become friends so quickly. I'll post everything as soon as I can.

July 31st.....Long wknd!!! Slang Dictionary...

Happy Friday!!!

Do you have problems understanding your crazy teenager? Well soon you may be able to crack their codes! lol. UCLA is set to release a slang dictionary which will define this generations most commonly used slang terms. For instance the "Muffin Top" will be explained. haha.

The long wknd is officially upon us! Hopefully you can get out and enjoy the weather.
July 30th...Yaaaaaaa! Headed to get some green face paint!

July 30th...Yaaaaaaa! Headed to get some green face paint!

Woohooo! So my fellow Saskies unite! This Saturday the big battle goes down between Calgary and our Motherland team! I originally had planned to go out of town for the long week but that fell through so luckily enough I was fortunate to score tickets from someone here at work! Game time is 7pm, hope to see you there!

July 29th....SCARY!

In the Calgary Sun today there was an article that freaked me out big time! The article says how "international cancer experts have moved tanning beds into the top cancer risk category"!!!...."The risk of skin cancer jumps 75% when people start using tanning beds before age 30"! I couldn't believe it! I myself occasionally use tanning beds and have read some of the warnings out there but this article definitely hit me! Anyways I just thought I would pass this info along to my fellow tanners who might not be as aware as I was.

July 27th...EEEH!

This morning I talked about this in Celebrity Sleaze and I still can't get over it. Recently a Youtube went around where Michael Jackson is filming a Pepsi commercial and his hair catches on fire. Well apparently at some point that day a guy who collects sections of celebrities hair scooped some of it up!!!! The man is now teaming up with a company out of the States called LifeGem. LifeGem is going to use the hair and put it into real diamonds. Who does this! Honestly first off who collects peoples hair! Do you think while Jackson was burning he was right in there getting the hair from the ground? How terrible! What do you think this guy puts on his resume...I'm a celebrity hair stalker...I'm extra quick with the scissors and comb it thoroughly to keep it in perfect condition.

July 16th...Facebook and Canadian Privacy laws....

Came across this article on MSN and thought that it was interesting...We always see the "new rage" come along and sometimes we just jump right on it without ever thinking of the "what if's"...The article details how Facebook Violates Canadian privacy laws...."Canadians truly need to know what they are getting into when joining Facebook and should be able to control the information they share," said Stoddart at a news conference on Thursday. "We found serious privacy gaps in the way the site operates."

Facebook, which has nearly 12 million Canadian users, allows people to keep in touch with friends and family by updating their personal pages with fresh messages and photos.

So it seems like with the wii  more and more good things as a posed to bad things are coming from it, like wii fitness, it helps get us active etc...now Students at the University of Alabama at Birmingham are working on a downloadable software program that would train users in CPR, giving them the ability to save lives. Would you use this?  I think I would be intrigued to see it.
July 8th...Soo Cute!

July 8th...Soo Cute!

Chech this out! These shoes were invented so kiddies could dance on their "fathers" feet...Here's a clip from the website...

"These red shoes are an adorable way for little girls to dance with their fathers in comfort. The dance shoes were specifically designed for the father-daughter team and would be perfect for large family gatherings or weddings where these dancing teams usually come together. No need to worry about balancing, as these dance shoes take care of it all. "

I remember when I was little I would stand on my great grandpa's feet and we would dance to the Beatles.

June 29th...Music filled wknd....

This past wknd the city was filled with things to do and I was lucky enough to get out and enjoy some of the festivities...First the Jazz fest was on, headed down to beat niq for some live jazz. Awesome. Then the best part of the evening was going to Dickens pub were we watched a band by the name of Monotonix...Unreal...I have never seen a performance like this before. It was rock music and they were all over the place. Their whole deal is not setting up on stage but rather in the crowd. People were flying everywhere. haha. It was super neat. If you ever get a chance to see them I'd suggest it! haha but prepare yourself...trust me.

June 25th....Sooo not ready for this...

Well the day is coming and I am so not ready for it!!! My Wifie is leaving me. Wifie (my roommate) is moving back to her home town and while I'm super excited for her this is going to be such a hard thing. Since I've moved to Calgary she has been the one person I have leaned on the most, we have had such incredibly fun times, got into a lot of trouble and have some really good memories to tell. This is one of those situations where I keep pushing it to the back of my mind, pretending that it's not happening. If anyone starts to talk about it, I start to sing out loud. hahaa. Ya can you tell that I avoid things.
June 24th...I want one, I want one!!!

June 24th...I want one, I want one!!!

Wow!!! I love this! Think about all the old school record players and now this! I am still searching to see if it's possible to purchase or if it is just a one time design. Here's the details on the designer etc....

"Korean designer rhea jeong has sent in images of her 'void' LP player. the record player uses a carrier and dock outfitted with a magnetic and auto-calibrating control system which carries the LP into thin air as it is playing music. a self-running record player shaped in the form of a red sphere, contains a needle, amplifier and speaker, spins around the record, bringing the music to life.

June 23rd...Drum kit T-shirt...

I have never seen this before but it's a drum kit T-shirt...Literally. The shirt has a built in speaker and you can actually play "the drums". Here's a Youtube I found with someone using it. haha...

June 22nd...Lame...

So I was crusin the Internet they other day and came across hunch.com, a website designed to help you make decisions. Bah! Honestly if we are now going to a website to determine what we feel like doing!!!! HELP US!!! How does this site exist! Who would use this? If I don't know how I like my coffee and couldn't figure it out for myself I should not be aloud out of the house!!!! And yes that is one of the questions on the site!

June 19th...When do you pee?

Happy Friday! If your going to be heading to the movies this weekend you might want to check out this website....www.runpee.com

You know when your sitting in a good movie and you really have to pee but don't want to get up because your scared you might miss something crucial, well this site tells you when the best time to do that would be. The website offers advice and a short description of the scene but doesn't give anything away. There is a section that says unscramble and if you click that it will go into detail, so if you haven't seen it yet don't click! Haha Bladder malfunctions are never fun so good luck.

June 18th...Tonight...Earls...Summer...

If you are looking for something to do tonight Earls Willow Park is having their summer patio party! Back in the day I was once an Earls lady and they have invited me to join them this evening. MMM I love summer and have spent many lazy afternoons on a patio, tonight though they are having extra things like...The theme, "welcome to the jungle"...they will have product tasting,a dj,and body painted people. It should be good, Wifie and I are headed down. See ya there.

If you want to try your dancing skills but a different kind...join me tonight at the Backalley for ladies night! 4630 Macleod Trail South! See ya there.

June 16th...UPDATE...

I stand corrected regarding the time on the Twitter "Down Time". The orginal time that this was to occur has been changed....here's what Twitter is saying and Why the change....

A critical network upgrade must be performed to ensure continued operation of Twitter. In coordination with Twitter, our network host had planned this upgrade for tonight. However, our network partners at NTT America recognize the role Twitter is currently playing as an important communication tool in Iran. Tonight's planned maintenance has been rescheduled to tomorrow between 2-3p PST (1:30a in Iran).

June 16th...Watch everyone at 3pm!

Hey! Back from the Mother land of Saskie. The week was awesome! I still get blown away by how many rider stores and clothing and crazy fans there are. Yaaa Saskie! hehe. It's good to be back though....So to my next topic....

I am very curious to see what happens to the world around 3pm today! Twitter will be down for an hour apparently. I myself will be walking around the office to see if anyone is twitching in the corner not knowing what to do with themselves! Or there will be those people that are just sitting there clicking refresh, refresh, refresh until it comes back! AAAAHHHH! What have we become! hehe.

June 5th/09... Gone again...

Headed for the mother land of Saskie! I'll be off for a little bit so hope your week goes good! Talk to you when I get back. Have a good wknd!
June 4th/09....Neat....

June 4th/09....Neat....

I came across a group of architects that do really funky designs. They are based out of Paris. Came across their hanging rooms collection and just love it! I never seen anything like this! How cool would it be to just hop up there!

June 3rd/09...Tonight!

It's SUPER ladies night tonight at the Backalley! 4630 Macleod Trail South is where you want to get yourself to! Hope to see you all down there!

June 2nd/09...Lately...

The past couple of months have been interesting. You know when certain things come up and they make you think, they could be good or bad, but they just sort of centre you. Lately I've come across some things that have put me in that state. Anyways I came across an email with a poem that was sent to me along time ago and it made me smile...It's kind of cheesy but I like it...

There are moments in life when you miss someone so much that you just want to pick them from your dreams and hug them for real!

When the door of happiness closes, another opens; but often times we look so long at the closed door that we don't see the one, which has been opened for us.

June 1st/09...Thanks!!!

Thanks for the emails and bday wishes!!! You guys are great! Had such an awesome weekend! The family surprised me and came into town, they had a big surprise lunch planned with my "sex and the city girlfriends"! It was really nice. Family and Friends are what make life!  Yesterday I headed down to Lilac Fest, which was awesome! The first time it didn't rain or snow in how many years! May 26th....C.O.P Guide and Ride....Getting ready!!!

Today I started to prepare for the Guide and Ride out at C.O.P.!!! Headed over to Bow Cycle today to try on some gear for the Guide and Rides with Vibe 98.5 I’m hosting on the last Sunday or each month this summer…Dave at Bow Cycle was awesome in making sure I had on the right gear for some hardcore riding. Okay, I’m not hardcore at all – in fact, I’m a little scared – but I know that I’m in good hands with the pros at COP.

Don’t worry if you don’t have a bike – COP has a rental shop that’ll hook us up – but in case you wanna buy a bike – Dave at Bow Cycle will hook you up! I might be in the market for one after the great time we’re gonna have this Sunday at 10am!

May 21st...Scared but stoked! Guide and Ride out at C.O.P!!!!

So if you are wanting to get out and try something new or maybe you have done this before but want to get better...Well join me for the Guide and Ride! The Guide and Ride with C.O.P is a Mountain biking course!!! Baaah! I have never done anything like this before, which is part of the fun! A little nervous but even if I break myself it will be a good story! You can listen for your chance to win or if you want to secure a spot then you can contact me...cloucks@vibe985.com

We are running the Guide and Ride once a month, for four months. The first time we head out will be on May 31st.

    May 19th....I'm back...

Hi, Hi! Is it wrong of me to be excited about being back in the routine of things? haha Probably really lame but it does feel good to be back. Vacation was good! My girlfriend Lara and I headed over to Palm springs. The weather was wicked! It's amazing how much weather can affect your mood! Lets see highlights....we went to a winery for an afternoon. We sampled some wine, had lunch and lazed about! Mmm so good...

Now I don't know if I would call this a highlight but, palm springs is filled with an older crowd, lots of retirees. But I had to laugh when Lara and I headed to pick lemons from a tree to put in a dinner dish and an older man, and I'm talking 70's came over in his golf cart yelling at us to stop picking the lemons! Here we thought we were getting in trouble but what he wanted was us to come over to his place and enjoy some lemon drops!!!(those are shooters!!!) lol. He was a feisty one! Did we go...No but we debated it! haha.

    May 8th/09....Holidays!!!

Well after my afternoon shift today I'm "leavin on a jet plane, don't know when I'll be back again..." Ok well that first part is true, the second part, not so much, I'll be back on Wednesday May 20th. Headed down to the states with my best friend from stoon! We will hopefully be sipping some sort of pretty drink and trying to stalk my "boyfriend" George Clooney. hehehe. CREEPY! Talk to ya then, have a good week!

    May 7th/09 Slow cow....

This was in the paper yesterday and I thought it was interesting! Slow Cow, its a drink pretty much opposite to Red Bull. A Canadian is actually the creator of the anti-energy drink. The drink is supposed to soothe people and take the edge off stress. I swear, what will they come up with next. Why do we have to have such extremes. I know it's hard to use our minds now a days to calm ourselves down!(sarcasm) Ridiculous! The drink is said to be filled with mostly natural ingredients that are meant to calm without making the consumer drowsy, such as chamomile and passion flower. The drink is sold right now in Quebec but will probably be seen soon all around the map.

    May 6th/09 Happy McHappy Day!!!

Happy McHappy Day! Today throughout Alberta all McDonalds locations will be helping out their Ronald McDonald houses. McHappy Day is a tradition for McDonalds where they raise money for Canadian Children in need. If you come to Mcdonalds today and purchase certain menu items, like a kids meal, one dollar from that will go towards the cause. Mastermind and myself will be down helping the staff at 2320 16th ave McDonalds Location from 12-1 this afternoon. I promise I won't have any part in actually cooking the food. hehe. So come out for lunch and support a great cause!
May 5th/09....Happy Cinco De Mayo....Plus Costume Institute Annual Gala....

May 5th/09....Happy Cinco De Mayo....Plus Costume Institute Annual Gala....

The big Met Costume Institute Annual Gala happened last night. All the stars were out, some in fabulous outfits, others not so much..... Perez said he thought Kanye and his girlfriend were the best dressed while Madonna came in dead last! AGREED! Come on this is a woman who has had a huge part of fashion in the past, has be very influential (in my opinion) with her music and designs. She should know by now what works, and yes I get the shock factor of some outfits but this wasn't even that. If she paid someone for this look, I swear!

May 4th/09....Walk for kids help phone...

I want to thank all of the volunteers that came out yesterday to the Walk for Kids Help Phone. I was fortunate to host the event and everyone that came out was really great! In Calgary over $110,000 was raised at the 8th annual event! That's awesome! I did not realize how many kiddies use this service. in the Calgary area last year the Kids Help Phone helped over 98,000 times on the phone and online. Good work!

    May 1st/09 Friday!!!

Friday feels good! Especially with this weather! Hope your wknd is great! Next week I'm lucky enough to be filling in on The Vibe Morning show so listen in for your chance to score lots o prizes! Have a good one!

    This Saturday May 2nd....Cleaning Highways....

Happy Thursday! This Saturday my Arthritis Group is pulling up our sleeves and cleaning highways!!! This is an awesome thing, the government will give money to charities for every mile they clean on highways in Alberta. I have never heard of this before and am so stoked! So if your cruising out of the city and near Carstairs give us a honk or better yet come out and help! If your interested in helping clean all in support of the Arthritis society and of course making the Calgary area a little cleaner please email me at cloucks@vibe985.com Or if you would like to donate please head to my Arthritis website...
    April 30th/09 EEEWWWWWW!!!!!

    April 30th/09 EEEWWWWWW!!!!!

No Wash underwear! How nasty! A 29 year old medical student invented this! Guys, Rob Libfeld is your new best friend. hahaha As if the thought of not having to do laundry didn't cross your mind! haha gross! Libfeld actually had a nice thought behind his invention......

"I realized how embarrassed many of my patients were about the soiled condition of their all-white underwear after long hospital stays and figured there had to be a solution.”

Still I can see this being abused! haha.

    April 23rd /09 Sleep Txting!!!...

Wow So the past 24hrs have been kinda interesting. Last night was ladies night at the Backalley and a bunch of my friends came down. It was awesome super packed, good people etc. I told them they could drink and I would drive them home, so after dropping them off...on my way home I hit ice and collided into a big thing of cement! Brutal! I have never been in an accident that was my fault so this was so frustrating. But the funny part of my day came this morning. I woke up turned over to my cell and saw that I had slept txt!!!! How is this even possible! I have never done this before. Luckily it was only in the draft phase and it didn't actually send but I had written "oooooowholy man" to a co-worker at 5:30am!!! What is that! Could you imagine if he got it! lol! This was so weird to me! I don't know if it was the stress of the accident or what that made me do this but it was too odd.

April 15th /09 Earrings? Or more?

April 15th /09 Earrings? Or more?

Think the picture is highlighting a new pair of earrings? Think again. While they are earring they are also audio hearing devices! So neat! This is a fashionable way to wear those dorky cell phone blue tooth ear pieces. The Earrings have talk and listen functions, you can match them up to your phone and receive calls etc. or when on listen you can hear tunes!
April 14th /09 It's like coloring books for adults...

April 14th /09 It's like coloring books for adults...

This is a neat concept. A dress made by by a couple of designers (Berber Soepboer and Michiel Schuurman) lets you decide the color scheme. No you don't pre-order and tell them what colors you want, you color it yourself. The "Color-In" dress starts from black and white fabric and you finish the dress with your own style by using a couple of markers. Might be a fun gift.
    April 13th /09...So neat...

    April 13th /09...So neat...

This is so different! A company called Rockettore has come out with necklaces that can hold living flowers etc...

"Rockettoro pendants are small glass vases that are worn as pendants around your neck; as the gallery shows, they look stunning with a vibrant bloom like a fuchsia orchid."

    April 10th /09 Happy Easter!

    April 8th /09 Neat idea...

    April 8th /09 Neat idea...

Jewelry that lets you know when you are at risk of passing that tan stage and burning. MMM everyone looks better tan in my opinion, and I'm bad for just wanting any color at all, even if I do get a little burnt. MMM summer!!! Now researchers have come up with this wrist band that will tell you when you will start burning if your out in the sun. here's the article...

“It works when UV rays react to chemicals inside the material which causes them to change from a yellow to a pink colour,” the BBC explains. The pink indicates that you are at risk of getting a sunburn and therefore damaging your skin.

April 2nd /09 Funky headbands for spring, high boots for fall...

April 2nd /09 Funky headbands for spring, high boots for fall...

Here's what is speculated to spring up in the fashion world for spring....funky headbands. some are actually pretty neat. I have a peacock one but I can never find a place to wear it. Maybe you can rock some of them.

For fall fashion I guess the big thing will be over the knee boots. This is one of those things that can look super sexy. I always find a good pair of boots are so hard to find. If you find any good places email me please. cloucks@vibe985.com

    April 1st /09 April fools....

Is it sad that I think this would actually be fun. haha. For April fools day Microsoft/Xbox came out saying they have announced a new game...Alpine Legends! Pretty much like Guitar hero but it's yodelling! haha You yodel from the tops of mountains.

haha...."Shake the mountain tops with 100 classic Alphorn tracks including, “Whose spit is in my horn?” and “More goat bell (It needs)”. Take your band through all the alpine rights of passage: a mountainous village tour, recording sessions in a log cabin studio, overcoming throat soother addiction, and even competing in a live yodel off."

March 31st /09 If your an online shopper...

If you like online shopping hit up this site and see if you like anything. It has some neat things, awesome accessories and cute clothing. www.modcloth.com

March 30th /09 This guy has no game...

This past weekend I headed up to Lake Louise and Banff with one of our sister stations. We managed to get some snowboarding in which was nice, saw a bunch of unexpected Saskie's so it was good. Later that night I stayed in Banff and we headed out for the evening, now I know that sometimes people have weird ways of meeting people but this guy was not smooth. Maybe you have encountered him at some point too. haha I was walking out of the bathroom and this guy comes walking up to me, haven't even talked to him previously and he says "here you go" and hands me a piece of paper. He had written... random Aussie guy and his phone number. lol. You have to know that this guy has a pocket full of these! I really want to phone him on air! HAhaha I can just see it..."what was your intention?, How many of these did you give out that night?" Too funny! Have you ever had something like this happen? Or done it yourself?

    March 27th /09 The weekend!

Lots happening this weekend, we have the Marc Vs. Fuzzy Charity Challenge #5 "GIRL GUIDE FOR A DAY". The boys will be at two separate Walmarts...Fuzzwick at the Southtrail crossing one on 130th ave se. and Marc at the WestBrook Mall one in the sw. Make sure to check that out and get stocked up on cookies. Fresh Vibe Fridays happening tonight at the Whiskey, tomorrow Vibe is live to air at Tequila. As for myself I'm headed with our sister station to Lake Louise and Banff. Hopefully I'll be able to make it back with the cursed snow that is supposed to fall. Have a good one!
    March 26th /09 Boxed Water?

    March 26th /09 Boxed Water?

So some places are starting to ban bottled water to help with the environment and now this has come out...Boxed Water..."Boxed Water, located in Grand Rapids, Michigan, has begun producing boxed water with 90% of the boxed water container being made from a renewable resource. The refillable boxes are shipped flat and are to be filled on an on-demand basis. Most bottled water companies ship their empty bottles to be filled, then ship them back for consumption. Our cartons can also be broken down to their original flat state, are recyclable in most areas, and will be everywhere shortly. We're also giving 20% of our profits back to the resources our product is composed of - water and trees."

March 25th /09 Downtown is like a whole other world...

I just came back from the gym and found that I am still as riled up as I was before I went in. Normally you know if your stressed or grumpy going to the gym helps with your mental state. Well not this time! I had some things on my mind this morning, nothing serious just one of those moods and with my Marathon training I thought I should hit up the gym today.

I have visited this gym before and the first time I went the front staff weren't really that friendly.  This time around the same thing, I am a very positive and smiley person almost all of the time, it's actually quite sickening lol. So I'm doing my thing and I'll smile at people all the time and no body smiles back when I'm at this gym! Would it kill you!

    March 24th /09 Diamonds...

Don't get me wrong I love diamonds but this just seems excessive!...

The next big thing in spa treatments for the super rich and celebrities comes from the stunning world of precious stones and is being passed on as a diamond massage.

Making hot stone and chocolate massages seem terribly ordinary, the diamond massages include getting a massage after which the skin is pampered with a diamond powder of 1.5 carats. Consisting of micronized diamonds and irons, the sparkling powder is left for a few minutes to react and is then removed by means of a magnet.

The allegedly anti-aging results of this treatment, as well as its detoxifying effects against electromagnetic wave pollution of the skin, has sky rocketed appeal. In fact, it was reportedly the most favored massage among Hollywood celebrities during the Oscars.

    March 23rd/09 Made me smile...

    March 23rd/09 Made me smile...

I found this on the web and it made me smile. Would you use one of these? Here's the article that came along with the picture..."One thing I can’t stand, is the way my head falls forward when I’m on the verge of falling asleep in a chair or standing up. With these head-holders, taking naps on the commute home becomes a whole lot easier. It seems as though these Japanese trends have certainly taken convenience to another level."

March 20th /09 Spring!!! Wknd! Car washes...Topless flip flops...

There's something about car washes, lazy mornings with coffee and sleeping in fresh sheets. mmm sooo good! Spring is here!!! And it already feels sooo awesome. The fact that spring falls on a Friday is  even better! This weekend my best friends from Sask. are coming! I haven't seen them in awhile and can't wait! I think that we will probably head down to the Grape Escape tonight, sample some wine, mingle and see what trouble will find us. haha.

On a sidenote, since spring is now upon us I figured that I can start my hunt for this years new flip flops! Yes! I have heard about these particular ones in the past but have never actually seen them, they are topless flip flops.

    March 19th /09 Chop Suzi!

If your looking for a good deal on clothing VIBE 98.5 and Underground Clothing are teaming up. Starting today and going until Sunday you can txt the letters UG to 985985 ($0.25/message) and you will recieve a free Chop Suzi Top valued at $69 when you buy any pair of regular priced jeans. I actually have one of the zip up Chop Suzi tops and it's awesome. So if your in need of some need jeans anyways you might as well hit this up and get a free top.

March 18th /09 JOIN ME ON TWITTER!!! OOOOH NOOO!

They other day I blogged "to Twitter or not to Twitter" talking about the new social networking site that is basically a constant Facebook update. I was very against this to begin with but I had ask you guys to email me more details regarding it to maybe try and convince me why it's good. well, I joined! lol. Like I said I was super against it initially but I figured I should at least see what it's about.

I am already addicted! This is sooo much trouble! I like the fact that I can just put what ever I'm thinking out there. and I don't have to receive all these emails like facebook. It's quick and simple. You follow along with people and see what's going on in their lifetime, I'm following Ellen, the Flames etc. hahaha even as I write this I am saying to myself..."loucks this is ridiculous! Why would you like something like this!" haha but I love it!

March 17th /09 Had so much fun this morning!

Happy St.Patty's day! This morning I was able to fill in for Dani on the VIBE 98.5 Morning Show!!! This was my first time working directly with Marc and of course Fuzzwick is always a treat! The boys are preparing for tomorrows show down! The Marc Vs. Fuzzy $10,000. Charity Challenge will take place at my local residence every Wednesday The Backalley! It's Pole-a-palooza! Based on your votes the winner will be crowned as they show their dancing skills literally on the pole. I'm a little scared. So make sure you are there early to get prime seats!

March 16th /09 To Twitter or Not to Twitter?...

To Twitter or Not to Twitter? That is the question. Ok so This social networking site battling facebook is all everyone's talking about now.

Ok I'm pretty old school when it comes to this kind of stuff. I hate email, I would rather pick up the phone and call you. Where has our face to face or ear to ear contact gone!!! haha.

First off facebook in my opinion is good for sharing pictures but when I when see people's status updates that would say..."I'm having lunch" or "I just saw an orange cat" ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!! First off why do those people feel the need to tell this information. Why do we read it, why do people care? Why do people want others to know exactly what they're doing?

    March 13th /09 Soo nervous!

Tomorrow will be my first training day with the Arthritis Society/ Joints In Motion team! I'm super excited to meet everyone that has signed up so far but so nervous for the whole physical activity thing. haha. I'm pretty sure it will be an interesting morning! I have read that it is a 7 to 12k run/walk. Other than my spin class experience this past week haha I haven't done any activity for soo long. So wish me luck. If I don't die I'll fill you in on Monday.

This weekend, if your headed to either Samantha Ronson, Jacob or the Trews we'll see ya there! Have a good one!

    March 12th / 09 ARE YOU KIDDING!!!?!!!

So here's what has me infuriated today. Came across this on the web and my first emotion was rage that this is such a thing for obvious reason like why must we feel the need to portray ourselves like this. ( And of course the picture attached to this article was of a woman) And then secondly if you are going to use this tool how would this benefit you? If you using this for a dating website etc. well I'm pretty sure your potential match will notice if you are 50 pounds heavier! Wow seriously why do people even think of this stuff!!!!! Soooo below is the article...

First impressions count, so your online photos have to look good, right? The Weight Mirror is a free online tool which lets you slim photos of yourself, shaving off as much as 50 lbs! No dieting or Photoshop skills are required! This is so you will look good on MySpace, Facebook or any other social media site you are on.

March 11th /09 I almost died and threw up at the same time...

haha WOW soo sad! So this wknd with the Arthritis Society/Joints in motion VIBE 98.5 Team, I will be heading out for my first training session. We are training to run a marathon for Arthritis. I decided today that I should probably try and do something active to get things going. One of my "sex and the city girlfriends", Kristin works out downtown every lunch hour, so I thought it would be a good way to see her and get a work out in. Sooo she took me to a spin class. haha I felt like dieing. It was so hard for me. The instructor, Ruthanne was so good but I was so embarrassing! So with the our training team, which by the way we are still accepting more team members to come to Costa Rica with us, (Email me if your interested...cloucks@vibe985.com)we are heading out Saturday morning.

March 10th /09 Local Charity Concert

Here's a good cause if your interested in live music. I met these two a couple of years ago as they were involved in our VIBE 98.5 $100,000 Star Search. Both of these artists are really great...

Jarred Nicklen and Crystal Mcgrath have joined forces and are doing a benefit concert for the Calgary scope society to help raise money for the special needs. By Purchasing a ticket for this event all proceeds will be given to Scope. Every ticket purchased you will receive a free NEW 5 song album from "Boy And Gurl"  Tickets are 25.00 in advance and 30.00 at the door.

March 9th /09 There should be Tim Horton's Self Help Groups!!!

Lol wow I finally have realized that I have a problem!!! I love Tim Hortons and Roll up the rim! But I am addicted! First, the other morning I was filling in on our sister station's morning show so I brought in coffee for everyone. Marc, Dani and Fuzzwick all liked it but what I didn't like is that they weren't so good about the thought of them winning and giving back the prize to me. I said that if they won we would split it but they still disagreed with me!!! Dani even carried her cup around all day, took it home and didn't tell me if she won!!! Baaa so of course this drives me crazy! lol.
March 6th /09 UUUMMM Hugging Walls?

March 6th /09 UUUMMM Hugging Walls?

Ok so I found this on the web and I'm kinda perplexed by it. Hug walls... Here's the article that accompanied the picture...

"Ever imagined what it would be like to hug someone if you were blind? The Anonymous Hugging Wall consists of a giant pink tarp with arm holes that allows you to hug a stranger (and yes, feel their body heat against yours) on the other side without seeing them. This allows you to connect with people without judging them on their appearance, or from feeling judged yourself. "

Ok so I am completely up for not judging people, that is a great message but a hug wall? Who would go to these hug walls? Would this be advertised...Come down and put your arms through weird sleeves and hug a stranger? How long would you hug for? What if the person on the other side didn't let go? haha these are just a few questions that ran through my head. haha. Would you go to a hug wall?

    March 4th /09 Tickets anyone?......MasterChef...

Happy Wednesday! So tonight is ladies night as usual down at the Backalley so if your looking for something to do come join us! It's always a good time. 4630 Macleod Trail south is where we will be at. But as I was thinking about the Backalley I remembered that I have some extra tickets to give away for Marcy Playground. They will be at the Backalley on March the 10th. Sooo if you want them (provided they aren't all gone by the time you email) Let me know. cloucks@vibe985.com is the addy. Also have to say THANKS to MasterChef...Aka...Mastermind. Mastermind is a big pro cook, in my opinion anyways and sometimes we watch cooking shows.
March 3rd /09 More Burton Progression Camp Pic's

March 3rd /09 More Burton Progression Camp Pic's

Just had another Picture forwarded to me from the Burton women's progression camp out at C.O.P. Thought I'd post it, this is a picture of everyone who was out on the Saturday.
Burton Women's Progression camp out at C.O.P

March 2nd/09 The Burton Women's Progression Camp out at C.O.P was the best Wknd Ever!!!

This past weekend was the greatest Weekend that I've had in a long time! I was fortunate enough to be a part of the Burton Women's Progression Camp that took place out at C.O.P and it blew my mind in so many ways! Initially I thought it would just be a nice day out on the hill but this camp stretched my expectations beyond belief! It was a three day event but I headed out just for Saturday and Sunday.

Everyone met up and were allocated into different groups in terms of skill ability. My group was lucky enough to have Carly for our instructor, she is amazing!!! So happy and taught us so many things. Carly had us hitting jumps, boxes, the super pipe!!!! Things that I never thought I could do. Before this camp I was able to go down the hill but once we started training with Carly I realized that there is so much technique involved and it was neat to try and incorporate everything to ultimately make you a better snowboarder. Being in a group solely of women was an unreal experience! My group, Jen, Davia, Kim, Casha, Brandy, Cooper, Isha...Were all soo great! I never felt any pressure, we had so many laughs, we cheered each other on, made sure everyone was ok when we fell and all of us were so happy that we got to partake in the camp.

    Feb.27th /09 Lots happening!

Wow, super busy day today! First Congrats to our VIBE 98.5 $98,000 Dream Destination Wedding winners! Emily and Emil looked so happy, can't wait to hear all about the actual wedding! MMM Beaches! So jealous! Today is also the VIBE 98.5 car giveaway. Everyone that got their bills paid recently had their names thrown into a draw for a 2010 Toyota Matrix! Make sure to check out the Home and garden this weekend, stop by our booth and say hi! This weekend I will be out at C.O.P for the Burtons women's progression camp for the learn to ride program. The weather should be good so come hit the slopes with me.

Feb.26th /09 Supporting the Joints in motion program for Arthritis.

I have teamed up with Joints In Motion and the Arthritis Society for a trek to Costa Rica. To be able to go on the trek we raise money to help those with Arthritis. VIBE 98.5 and our sister stations are forming teams to go down there with us. We have set up another blog on our VIBE 98.5 home page titled Joints in Motion so for complete details on the trek and for how you can come with us check it out.

    Feb.25th /09 more info...

    Feb. 24th /09 I swear!...

So finally today it hit me that it might not be the smartest of ideas to wear my flip flops year round.  haha.  I am very stubborn sometimes and flip flops make me happy, I hate socks and I love summer that pretty much sums up my reasoning behind wearing the beloved item.  But on a day wear I'm sick and the snow has reached my bare ankle, it's probably time to start being sensible!  haha wow did I actually just admit that.  I instantly felt old as I wrote that. haha.  Hopefully you managed to keep warm on this gross day. eeeh.  I'm off to try

    Feb.23rd /09 - Burton women's progession camp!!! Sooo stoked!

If your into boarding or want to start this is truly an unbelievably great opportunity!!! The event, Burton's women's progression camp and it is a three day program and it starts THIS WEEKEND. I am lucky enough to be heading out there myself and can't wait! How often do you get to ride with such experienced riders! Here's a little blurb about it...

    Feb.20th /09 Chad's last day / Spring is coming....

EEE! I just want to point out that as I write this at 6pm, it is still light out!!! Wow can't wait for summer! Today was Chad Martin's last day on the morning show as he is moving up in the company. Hopefully you were able to catch the show today! It will be a change for most of us, as I'm sure as we have listened to him for years. Marc who is taking over the position is a great guy too so hopefully you'll get a chance to meet him soon. Tonight I'm head out with my "sex and the city girlfriends!" for Kristin's bday! Happy bday babes! Hope the weekends good! See ya Monday.

    Feb.19 /09 Customer Service!

Wow the days of bad customer service seem to be gone lately. I was dealing shaw cable today and Todd was the man that helped me out today and he went above and beyond. Just want to say thanks!

    Feb.18th/09 This morning...

This morning if you didn't catch it our Astral media team (VIBE 98.5, CJAY 92 and Classic Country AM1060) were out on the streets for the breakfast clubs of canada campaign. This is basically where we hand out free breakfasts to vehicles as they stop at the red light outside of our building, hopefully if you did hear us gabbing about it you managed to stop by and get some grub. The reason why we did this is to help raise awareness for kiddies that go to school without being able to have breakfast. As we have all heard I'm sure, starting the day off by feeding your brain is the best thing for us.

    Feb.17th /09 Towels!!!

If you have extra towels kickin around the Calgary Drop in Centre is in desperate need of them! The centre sleeps 1,100 people a night! You can help out by dropping them down at the centre located at 423 - 4th Avenue SE.

Feb 16th /09 You'd hate to be this guy...

So I was skimming a bunch of news articles on the web and came across this one. You know how in the paper sometimes they do dorks of the day well I'm betting this falls under that category. This is taken from the Edmonton sun, although the man involved isn't from there.... Graham J. Nickerson is 27 and has worn women's undergarments at least once in his life. He was really liquored when he did it on Aug. 16, 2008. Nickerson pleaded guilty Thursday in provincial court to unlawfully entering the home of a senior citizen and stealing a pair of disposable Depend underwear. It was a Saturday and the Cape Sable Island man was returning from a party somewhere, said defence lawyer Del Wickens.

    Feb.13th /09 Valentines

Happy Friday! Months ago I read in a fashion magazine about a store called Flesh. At the time that I looked it up the store was out in Vancouver but now it has come to Calgary! Flesh Lingerie has some awesome lines that they carry, really cute stuff like Elle Macpherson's line, the colors are stunning. For Spring they have a wonderful French line called Princess Tam Tam that will be coming along with the most wonderful pieces from Stella McCartney. The store also supports local products.  Anyways I was thinking for Valentines single or not if you were wanting a little treat for your self then this might be a place you would want to check out.If so they are located...

Feb.12th /09 ...treats in the morning...

If your up early tomorrow make sure to listen to the VIBE Morning show. Love is in the air and Marc Michaels who is taking over for Chad will be out spreading the love giving gift cards to Newbury Spa. I will be accompanying him out on the streets so come say hi to us and cash in on some free goodies!

    Feb.11th /09 Why?...

Tomorrow in the city is that seminar called how to find a man and marry him in 6 months. (The VIBE morning show will also have tickets to give away tomorrow if your interested) Ok here's a couple of my thoughts on this... First the title of this makes me angry. It to me is implying that this is a woman's purpose for existing. That we have to find a man, and oooh wait we can do it all in the matter of this short time frame. I get that maybe sometimes we get lonely and as we get older there may be some extra pressure and maybe this seminar does help a lot of people. Maybe there are some women who just need to generate some different idea's to help get them out in the dating world.

    Feb.10 /09 Passion Bash....

Every year VIBE 98.5 presents Passion Bash, it's our singles valentines party! Woohoo. I have been to it for the past couple of years now and it always sells out, it's a lot of fun! This year we are holding it at Tequila Night club on 17th ave. Tune in to win tickets! Hope to see ya there.

    Feb.9th /09 - If your into this...

Came across an email today that I thought was neat. If your into the art's you might want to check this out.... ACAD Students take on the Catwalk. THis is the 9th anniversary for the wearable art runway show. artaWEARness sells out every year because it is said to be such an interesting concept and this year the event will be held on Feb.27th at the Alberta college of art and design (1407, 14th ave NW.)For more info if your wanting to attend here's the phone number....403-284-7625

    Feb.6th /09 - Too much effort?

I came across this book the other day, its called New York city dating and dumping guide. Apparently in the book the author goes through a list of the best places to dump your "other". For instance the best restaurant to break up with someone. Honestly do you think that people actually plan to go out to dinner and break up with someone? To me it just seems crazy to play along and spend money on dinner, hahah why not save yourself the hassel of pro-longing it and save yourself some money. Who plans this kind of stuff? Do people feel better in a public place? Maybe their hope is that not much of a scene would be made? Just get out of it asap if that's what you've decided.
Feb.5th /09 Cha cha check it out....

Feb.5th /09 Cha cha check it out....

HIt up this awesome website. It lets you alter your photos in an artistic way. www.befunky.com

    Feb.4th /09 How creepy!!!

For the most part I do love technology but this to me is soooo creepy. Google today launch "Google Latitude" This program allows cell phone users tp share their location with close contacts. Google hopes it will help people find each other while out and about and to keep track of loved ones. On the surface, yes maybe safety is one aspect but can we please leave this up to the police and wireless companies!!! I can just see maybe your in a relationship, everythings fine and then you break up and they stalk you! EEH or crazy people that have trust issues will go wild with this! "What Google Latitude does is allow you to share that location with friends and family members, and likewise be able to see friends and family members' locations," said Steve Lee, product manager for Google Latitude.

    Feb.3rd /09 - neat story.

With all the recession talk, I thought this story was pretty neat. A restaurant in London, England for the month of February is not handing out bills to its customers! The theme for the month is "pay what you want" meaning that they will not get a bill for what they have just eaten but rather can pay what they want to put down. The owner says anything from 1 cent to 70 dollars would make him happy. "It just seemed the right thing to do with everyone under the cash and feeling pretty miserable," Say's the owner. What would you do? Truthfully I find that when someone does something nice for me at a restaurant I tend to put down a little extra, in this case I would want to put down more than expected, not that I have a lot of extra cash around haha but the fact that he is offering this to everyone who visits is a nice gesture.

    Feb.2nd /09 Baby!

Hope the wknd was good! Our staff party was good as always. We headed out to the Stoney Nakoda lodge and they were great to us. Except for the cursed Black Jack table that took my money. But the best part of the weekend was the birth of my brothers baby!!! So excited to be an auntie for the second time! If you watched the Super Bowl yesterday you saw in my opinion a lame half time show. I thought Bruce Springsteen tried to hard, I mean yes I do like some of his music but when he slid into the camera man that was just too much for me. haha. Thank god it was a good game to watch at least. Hit up the fuzzytube to see the States commercials that we can't see here in Canada.

Jan.30th /09 The weekend is upon us!

Happy Friday!!! This wknd should be good, was watching T.V yesterday and saw a documentary called The musical brain which looked pretty interesting,so if your into that kinda stuff check it out 7pm tomorrow. Unfortunately I won't be able to catch it, it's our staff party which should be good or trouble one of the two. Super Bowl on Sunday, going for the Steelers! Hopefully you have the wknd to part take in some of the festivities. Also remember if you are wanting to do something with the kiddies, Monday is Ground hog day! Head out to Balzac to see billy and have some breaky. Have a good one!

Jan.29th /09 Miss.Ange and her sis saved my life!!!

Thanks to Shona for emailing me tips yesterday about my tooth pains! So appreciate it! And I owe Miss.Ange and her sister BIG time! Miss.Ange saw me yesterday and then phoned up her sister who is an unbelievable dentist!!! and got me an appointment! Thank you ladies! If you listened this afternoon haha I was still slurring due to the freezing but other than that it was a very painless procedure! Thank god! Thanks ladies!

    Jan.28th /09 Please help!

I'm on the hunt for some home remedies! This past week I think I've been getting on average about 3 hours of sleep and then this morning I woke up bawling. I am in so much pain due to my teeth. I am currently booked in for an appointment but until then I wanted to see if anyone had any home solutions to ease the pain. (other than hitting the bottle hehe) My email if you have any suggestions...cloucks@vibe985.com Thanks.

    Jan.27th /09 Interesting...

I was surfing the web and came across this site. It's a unique company.....Here's their discription of themselves.... "DESIGNWISE is a brand that edits original products and objects created by Portuguese designers. DESIGNWISE is not a specialized collection, nor is it dedicated to a specific category of objects. Its products span different scales and universes: of materials, uses and price. What gives unity to these apparently diverse objects is the fact that they all "tell a story", often with unexpected humour. These stories may be imagined by the designer, or simply created by the users when they appropriate the objects into their own personal universes."....Here's their webpage... http://www.experimentadesign.pt/designwise/eng/dw.htm

Jan.26th /09 Why do we get so dependent?

I came across an article today talking about using prescription drugs to help boost memory and cognitive performance. My initial thought was "oh what is this about?" (As I have a peanut memory!)But then as I read further I got really frustrated, first with myself for even being interested in the headline and then secondly with society. How have we become so dependant on such things. Here's part of the article...."Commonly used to treat ADHD (Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder) or Alzheimer's disease, prescription medications such as Ritalin, Adderall, modafinil (Provigil) or Aricept (donepezil) can provide cognitive enhancement even for people without these conditions, researchers say"......"While not advocating wide spread use of smart drugs, the authors did argue for more evidence-based research on their potential benefits." .....HHHMMMM how about doing things such as excercise, mental exercises, I don't know just throwing that out there! Why can't we go old school again! haha AAahh that felt good to rant.

    Jan.23rd /09 Who hasn't googled these.

Kelly Doody, from the Calgary Sun mentioned this in her Page 6 column today and I'm so happy she did. Ok so who hasn't googled these...The world's best television commercials. You know those ones that are rarely aired in Canada but are super funny. Gotta love them. Well at The Plaza Theatre in Kensington is the World's best Tv. commercials for 2008. They will be screening it until Jan.28th. So if your interested check out this website for show times etc....www.theplaza.ca

    Jan.22nd /09 Flying cars?

So I think that all of us at some point have imagined what it would be like if your car could fly while sitting on Deerfoot stuck in traffic. The whole Jetson's thing right?! Well it's getting closer and closer...Some people call it a flying car. The company designing and selling the vehicle prefers the term "roadable aircraft." Hit up this website to see the full article. I want one! http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/28796183/wid/11915829>1=43001

    Jan.21st /09 Don't forget ladies....

Jan.20th /09 - Big day and some ranting...

Hopefully you were able to catch some of the Inuguration cemermony this morning. I think that setting aside all political views it was a great thing for everyone to see. It at least gave me goose bumps. I think that Obama is seen as the big solution to all of the United States problems and there are big expectations being put on his shoulders. Even if big changes aren't made right away, I think that the hope that this man has given so many people and the inspiration being seen in so many people's eyes is amazing! That in it's self is incredible. I'm not going to go on about it other than that because I'm pretty sure that you'll be seeing and hearing enough of the replays over the next little while.

    Jan.19th /09 - Tomorrow morning.

So tomorrow will be another step in history. President Elect Barack Obama will be sworn in at the inauguration ceremony. He will be the 44th American President. If you are interested in watching some of the ceremonies I believe it will start around 9:30am tomorrow. If you can't catch it then I'm pretty sure you will be able to see the clips on CNN for the next ten years repeating over and over again. haha. It will be great to see!

    Jan.16th /09 - Weekend!

If you haven't heard of this band you have to cha cha check them out! We play their songs on one of our sister stations and they are on the top of my music playlists lately. Kings of Leon! Sooo good! Website is kingsofleon.com. Cheers enjoy the weekend!

    Jan.15th /09 - Next Wednesday

Ladies as you know every Wednesday we are down at the Backalley Live on location for ladies night, but next week is SUPER Ladies night! haha. So if your interested I have Gift Certificates for you. All you have to do is send me an email at cloucks@vibe985.com and I'll hook ya up.

    Jan.14th /09 Local Artists?

Wanted to see if anybody had any suggestions on where I can find neat, unique art pieces? If you know of a local artist or maybe you are one email me at cloucks@vibe985.com. I'm trying to find some funky pieces and don't really know where to start. Thanks!

Jan.13th /09 - How amazing would this be!!!

Today in the Calgary sun is an article which highlights a promotion going on in Australia. Australia's tourism industry has posted a job posting for the "Best job in the world", the job entails spending six months relaxing on Hamilton Island, part of the country’s Whitsunday Islands, while promoting the destination on a blog. Salary for this position is about $122,000 Cdn!!! Are you kidding! Yes please!!! I have been to this area before and it is unbelievable! Of course the reason behind this is to generate interest in Australia and a lot of media outlets have picked it up so props to them, it looks like the awareness is already causing a stir. Sooo if you are wanting to put in your resume head to this website...... http://www.islandreefjob.com/.....You will have to send in a 60 second video application and have until Feb.22nd to do it. Good luck! If you do send in one I'd love to hear about it! Oh ya and here's more of the job discription..."In exchange for the plush salary, free accommodation in an oceanfront villa and airfare from the winner’s home country, the employee will be required to stroll the island’s white sand beaches, snorkel, maybe take a dip in the pool — and post photos and videos of his or her experiences on a weekly blog."!!!

    Jan.12th /09 - Tonight

Tonight I will be down at C.O.P with the Posh Prom Fashion Show. This event is in support of the Cinderella Project, an incitive that helps provide grad dresses for girls who cannot afford their own gowns. If your interested in coming it's a fun night, I was at the event last year and it's neat to see. Doors will be at 6:30pm and there will be two shows. The first sitting is at 7 and the second one will be at 8:30pm. Tickets will be available at the door for $30. Snacks and drinks will also be included so it's a nice night out if your wanting to check out what new looks are in for this year and help out as well.

Jan.9th /09 - This is exactly how I feel today!!!

HAHA Wow do I love this guy! Too funny! Chelsea's blog | read more

    Jan.8th /09 - Team Canada DJ's

Super excited that Team Canada DJ's are coming back around our neck of the woods!!! Of course they coming along side DJ AM on Feb.25th at the Whiskey. I was fortunate enough to see them for the first time out at the Molson Canadian Mega Keg Party (Which was an awesome weekend!) These guys had the entire place dancing! I would highly recommend going to see them. You can win tickets with us but if you don't it's still worth the price. They even do a mix with the sex and the city theme song! Perfect! haha. Hit up their myspace page for a sneak peak of what their about!

    Jan.7th /09 - What was I thinking!!!

So I did one of the stupidest things that I've done in a long time. hahaha Lately I've been getting that Blah feeling ( you know that feeling you get when you try on clothes and nothing seems to work) I haven't done anything physically active for awhile, in the summer for awhile I road my bike to work and it was amazing! Best feeling ever! But ya lately nothing, I have been a big waste. haha. So finally fed up with myself I get this great idea to ride my bike today! It's snowing, it's cold and I almost died! hahaha. Ok maybe not but it was soo difficult. I have never taken my bike out in the snow and it is hard! So props to you peeps that do this on a regular basis! If you have any tips please throw them my way.

    Is this normal?

Wanted to get your opinion on this.... I was at Safeway this morning, stopped at the Starbucks to get a latte and as I'm putting the lid on, a man reaches across me, grabs some napkins and starts mega blowing his nose! I am I the only one that thinks this is so wrong? Do you blow your nose in public? It's not like it was this quite little blow your nose event, it was like he was a freakin horn! Haha. I don't know maybe I'm the only one that feels there is a time and a place to blow your nose. But then again maybe when you gotta blow, you gotta blow. haha. EEEHHh! In a perfect world I would have a ban on public nose blowing, but thats just me.

    Happy New Years!!!

It's here! Another year past, wow its crazy to think about. Hopefully everyone has a great night and an even better year! Hope to see you at the Backalley tonight! So excited. It will be trouble but fun I'm sure. Say hi, we'll have a drink. Cheers!

    MMM High heels...

Flip flops or high heels are what I try and decide between when it comes to shoes. I was looking back at footwear and shoe trends for 2008 and found this top 30 shoes of 2008 list. Number 28 is just wrong! Check it out at..... http://www.trendhunter.com/slideshow/top-30-shoes-and-show-trends-in-2008

    Dec.24th!

Merry Christmas! Woohooo! Hopefully you get to be with the family and friends over the holidays! And that Santa is good to you!

    Dec.23rd

Every Year new e-cards circulate (remember the dancing elves that you can put your pictures on.) well here's another that you can add to the list.....just head to this website... http://emoticarolers.com/

    Back....Dec.22nd

Well after being delayed like everybody else in the world I have made it back to Calgary. Saskie was super good, great to see the fam. and friends. And now it begins...I swear I am like a guy! My Christmas shopping for the most part still has to be done. It is Dec.22nd! One would think by now I would learn! I am off to brave the crowds, the flying elbows, the crazy drivers and crying children. EEEhhh! Of course I love how I dont fit myself into any of those categories. hehe. If your like me and are heading out this evening good luck! Hopefully we come out alive and with gifts!

    I'm out.....Dec.15th

This morning was way to fun! Dani is still in Las Vegas so I was able to fill in with the crazy boys this morning again. I swear they make me laugh so hard! I want to mention a few things..... Thanks to Brad Patterson from the end of my leash show and Caroline for coming in as well as Kim Stern our Vibe 98.5 Fashion expert. It was nice to have such happy guests in this morning. Secondly our hot topic of the morning was "have you ever purchased anything just because the person selling it was hot"? I never ever thought I would be sucked in but wow was I ever. ahahaha! I was in the mall the other day and this guy brought me over, long story short I purchased this hand stuff that I really dont even know what it is entirely! Wow.

    Wow! Too funny!

Well this definitely made my Friday!!! I have heard of this museum before but I have never taken the time to look into it before. Some might think it's mean but the fact that this is actually real, to me is funny. Look at their little costumes hahaha! Copy and paste this link to see...... http://www.jky.net/albums/gopher-museum_index.html

    Haha!

So I saw this going around last year during the christmas season but last night I came home to something that my roomate had been working on all day! ahaha The Pictures that she used I thought were hilarious! It involves my roomie Audrey, myself and Audrey's dog dolce. haha check it out.... http://elfyourself.jibjab.com/view/4xIwH8kPu7VIu0ve

This little guy is too cute....

Came across this little guy and thought he was too funny. Such a little stud! He, at the age of 9 probably knows more about the ladies then most men. hehe. check it out..... http://today.msnbc.msn.com/id/26184891/vp/28050331#28050331

Survived another Sex and the City Experience

I can't believe how fast time goes by! This past weekend I had my annual Christmas get together with my group of girl friends whom I call my "Sex and the city girl friends". There are about 6 of us that try to get together every couple of months and they are such characters! They are an amazing group of woman and never cease to amaze me! This year we decided to head out to Banff for the weekend and try and cause some trouble. haha. So thanks ladies! I luvs ya! On a completely different side note.... I did some prep work earlier this morning and came across this website.....http://demo.fb.se/e/ikea/comeintothecloset2/site/default.html.....

Would you pay $12,000 for a rock?

Ok so it's not an ordinary rock but still, come on! The astroid that fell is what one American collector is after and is willing to pay 12 thousand dollars for. Each to their own I guess but come on think of all the things you could do with that money. An astroid while neat, really what do you do with it if your not using it for scientific purposes? I would rather buy ten million chia pets, at least they can be tended too and grow funny looking hair! haha.

    Mayor's food drive

Today was the Mayor's 20th annual food drive for the inter faith food bank. This has been my second year attending and it was just as fun as the previous year. Local media through out the city went to the Southcentre Safeway where we ran around the store cracking clues and gathering food. The mayor is teamed up with little kiddies from Sparks who are sooo cute. The point is to of course raise money and spread awareness. It was pretty shocking some of the stats that were thrown out....almost 90 thousand calgarians used the calgary food bank this past year and 43% of the clients were kids. If you are interested in donating or finding out more info head to www.calgaryfoodbank.com

    Wanna go to New York?

Yes please! I would love to be off to New York, I can't but if you want a shot join me tonight at the Backalley. It's ladies night every Wednesday but we also have a draw box with us that could send you to the big city to see Leona Lewis! She's playing at times square with Chris Brown and other big names so stop down and enter.

    Touchdown!

Congrats Stamps! Well last night the stamps took the game with a 22-14 win over Montreal. It was nice to see as you can tell that Burris wanted it bad. If your wanting to catch the team and cheer them on tomorrow they will be down at olympic plaza for a big celebration that will start around noon.

    The weekend! Grey cup!

Grey cup weekend. What to do, what to do. Audrey (my roomie) and I have our big mugs that look like huge footballs and are set to search out a pub that will let us bring them in and use them to full effect. Burris of course being snubbed at the cfl awards last night probably going to have a chip on his should so that should work in our favor. Other than that I will be down at Southcentre Mall for the United Way Radiothon. We will be down there from 10 until 2 so if you want to help make a difference join us. Hit up their website as well at greatcity.ca. Monday and Tuesday of next week Dani is off so I'll be joining the boys in the morning.

The sky is falling, the sky is falling!

So last night we received so many phone calls about the meteor siting, finally saw some video of it and WOW it really did light up the entire sky! I wish I could have actually witnessed it. My money is still on the whole tool bag from space thing :)

    Lady Gaga!!!

I don't normally get crazy excited when I meet stars but today was defiantly a great experience! Lady Gaga, (of course in town tonight performing before New Kids On the Block and then at Tequila Night club afterwards)stopped in the studio this afternoon and co-hosted the drive show with Miss. Ange! I walked into the control room and she is so gorgeous! She is so nice, has such great style and was so happy! If your going to either of the concerts tonight I would love to hear how the show went! cloucks@vibe985.com Or come visit me at the Backalley tonight after.

    Shiver for Liver recap

This past Sunday Mastermind,Nat, Kelly Kangles and myself took part in the fundraising event Shiver for Liver. It was such an awesome day! I knew that it would be fun but honestly this is such a unique event! It was completely different than any other charity fundraiser that I have even done and of course all the proceeds went to the Canadian Liver Foundation. There were around 10 groups that gathered out at C.O.P. where we did the zip line, a brain freeze challenge and finally luge. Our hosts were great! And thanks to everyone for putting up with my screaming! If you are interested in joining us next year check out the canadian liver foundation.

    This wknd....

If your looking to take the kiddies out to something this weekend rememeber that the Season of Winter is Tomorrow (Sat). It's at olympic Plaza from 3-6. Have a good one.

    Sports, Sports, Sports....

Well I am finally getting over the whole Rider issue. Ridiculous. Ok anyways I have now accepted the Stamps. haha Cabbie from the Score dropped in the studio this afternoon. Mastermind knows him really well. He's in town doing CFL coverage. Super nice guy! He was telling us that he will be covering B.C tomorrow as they prepare for Saturday's game, I asked him to try and fake the team out so hopefully we can have a little advantage going into the game. Don't know if he bought my idea but at least I tried. The game is at 2:30pm in town and the last I heard you can still get tickets.

    Shiver for Liver

Shiver for Liver is an annual fundraising event that raises money for the Canadian liver foundation. Vibe 98.5 has been involved now for a couple of years, but this Sunday will be my first year being involved. Teams are out at C.O.P on Sunday trying to complete things such as scavenger hunts, brain freeze's,etc.... Two of the major things we get to do are Luge and Zip Line! I'm super excited for the zip line but to luge not so much. EEhh not going to lie a little scared. Mastermind along with two other lovely ladies from the office will be on the Vibe 98.5 team. Hopefully we come out alive!

    First Eggnog Latte's now this.....

I was shopping at Safeway last night and spotted Advent Calendars! Remember those chocolate calendars that count down to Christmas. Each day you open a little door and eat the chocolate! I'm sure so many people can relate to me as I was one of those kids that cheated and ate 10 at once, trying so hard to put the little door back in place like it had never been opened. haha I'm sure we thought we were so sneaky. Anyways I proceed to tell Mastermind my finding and he had no idea what I was talking about! I can't believe that someone has no idea of something that I'm sure so many of us grew up with.

    EGGNOG LATTE'S!!!

I was in Starbuck yesterday talking with the lovely staff in the Kensington location about the Christmas cups etc... AND THEN they reminded me that the Eggnog Latte's are almost out!!! Haha Soo good! So if your like me and will be scratching at the door for the holiday drink, the lady said to watch for them next week around the 13th!

    Wow!

Well made it back alive! Vegas was incredible! If you have never been before and have the opportunity, I highly recommend going. The size of everything is insane. The buildings, the architecture, the lights are all so beautiful. hmm so a couple of highlights was seeing the water show in front of the bellagio, we went to Nelly's bday party (he had an escalade cake, it was pretty funny) and seeing Ong from Paris Hilton's BFF! Haha he had his little wings on bouncing around the club. Good to be home but I'm sure I'll be craving another vegas experience sometime soon.

    Happy Halloween!!!

Happy Halloween! Wow I don't think I have been this excited in a long time! Tonight after my shift I leave to Vegas! AAHHH! I'm scared! A group of my girlfriends decided to go. I have never been before so I'm sure it will be interesting. I have to thank one of my girlfriends from the Backalley, Carly. She completely hooked my roomie and I up with our halloween costumes for vegas. So thanks babes! Your a mean sewing machine! I also want to say thanks to Alheli for the Halloween treats! You are soo great. thanks! EEE! K hope the weekend is great. I'll be back Wednesday, hopefully I'll have some good stories to tell you.

    Thursday Oct.30th

So I haven't really been up on the whole rock band games but I think I might have to try it now. A new "Rock band" like game will be coming out featuring the Beatles! I know we obviously don't play them but it made me smile when I read this. My great grandparents and grandparents were from England and I remember my great grandpa, when I was really little would let me stand on his feat as he would dance around listening to the Beatles. haha. The game will take advantage of the “Rock Band” platform, but will be a stand-alone product. its said to be out by the 2009 holiday season...hmm the only thing now is I'll have to find someone who will let me stand on their feet.

    Already!

The title of my blogg refers to a couple of things(excuse me while I rant haha)... First I was driving home the other night and saw Christmas lights up! Already, Really? Don't get me wrong I love Christmas but isn't it a little early we haven't even passed Halloween! haha. And secondly...it has begun...haha We were down at Chinook for Bra's for a Cause yesterday and the harassment started over my Flip Flops. Every year I deal with the same thing... I wear my flip flops for as long as I possibly can through out the year. Flip flops are just so easy! Even Mastermind started razzing me and he's one of the people that should except my flip flop wearing ways already.

    Vibe 98.5 Bra's for a Cause

Just want to say a big thanks to everyone that supported the 4th annual Vibe 98.5 Bra's for a Cause! The wrap up was this morning at Chinook Centre and over $30,000 was raised!

    The Weekend...

This past weekend our crew headed out to Canmore for our annual Team bonding party. This is my second year attending and it didn't disapoint! We are put up in the Drake in Canmore, the staff there are sooo good to us! So thank to them for putting up with our shenanigans! So many laughs, Miss.Ange was on fire! I don't think I have laughed like that in a long time. Today we had the media pumpkin carving with UNICEF down at the HYATT. It was great to see what everyone came up with. The morning show won something so make sure your listening tomorrow morning to find out what.

    World Food Day

Today is World Food Day. Of course the day was created to raise awareness about world hunger. But I was reading over some of the stats and some of them were pretty shocking. I was on the Oxfam Canada website and they said that on average, food prices have risen by 83%, compared to three years ago, while the cost of rice, corn and other staples has risen as much as 300% in some countries. For struggling families they often have to pull their children out of school or can't seek medical attention just so they can eat or in some cases are too poor to even afford food. Anyways if you are looking for a good cause to donate to this might be one for you.

    The past couple of days....

Hope Turkey day was good! Luckily I was able to get back to Saskie for the weekend! (Normally this is where I would insert GOOO RIDERS!)But wow did that hurt! Our pitiful loss to the Stamps still stings! Anyways (ahem) moving on from that....Home is always so good family, food, lazy coffee in the morning mmm! Saskatoon thank god missed out on the snow! I know Regina and southern Sask. got hit with quite a bit of snow, eeh it's coming! Yesterday though I awoke to Rick Campenlili uttering sweet nothings into my ear! Bahah ok maybe there are a couple of lies in there, for one I wasn't sleep and secondly it was on my Voice Mail.

    Vancouver 2010 Olympics

Just a head's up if you were thinking about going to the 2010 Vancouver Olympics the tickets are up for "request" tomorrow. This means that tickets aren't first come first serve but you can put your name into a lottery style system. Ticket prices range from $25 to $1000.00. Head to their website at www.vancouver2010.com for the complete details.

Think you have a good idea?

If you think you have an ingenious idea you'll be excited over what I came across today....Google Inc. The fabulous internet search engine is offering $10 million to help fund your great idea. Although they aren't limiting what you send in, they would like to see the idea help the world in some way. Google has called it Project 10^100 (pronounced "10 to the 100th") and will be seeking ideas from the public. People can submit their ideas online until October 20th after this online voting will start and finally a panel of judges will announce up to five winners in 2009. So pretty cool idea! Check out the website at www.project10tothe100.com. If you enter Good luck and let me know how it goes!

    Flames!

Well pre-season hockey has begun! Today the flames are at the dome taking on Florida! If your lucky enough to go to the game it should be good. I'm so excited to see how Bertuzzi does! I know personally it has made me a little more intrigued this season with him joining our team! Good luck boys! Go Flames Go!!! On a side note... I survived soccer last night! Haha. Truthfully it was so fun! The team is fantastic! Everyone is so friendly and GREAT! I can't wait for next Monday! I probably shouldn't squeal but tomorrow is our own Fuzzy's B-Day so make sure you phone in tomorrow morning and razz him a little!

    I'm sooo nervous!

Is it just me or did any body else notice that instantly over the weekend the trees turned color? I know today is the first day of fall but it seemed to happen overnight! As much as I dread winter I have to admit that today was kind of comforting. One thing that is not so comforting to me today is that fact that tonight I have to do something that I haven't done for a very long time. Soccer! Haha I signed up for Rec.Soccer and to my new teammates I apologize now! I want to start getting involved in new things and thought a league might be fun, but I haven't played sports like this since elementary school! So needless to say tonight should be interesting! I told Mastermind that he will probably have to wheel me around the office tomorrow as I probably won't be able to walk.

    New Vibe 98.5 Club Page

Hey guys! If your on Facebook you might want to check out our new page "Vibe 98.5 Club Page". This is a page dedicated to our Vibe 98.5 on location club nights. Our Vibe crew will be out snapping pictures of those of you who come out to any of our 5 club nights. It's just a fun way of seeing who's out and about. Anywhoo speaking of that, I'm off to the Backalley for Ladies night. Join me if your thinking of getting out of the house.

    The Molson Canadian Mega Keg!

What a weekend!I was fortunate enough to go to the Molson Canadian Mega Keg Party out at Mt.Norquay. It was a blast! Everyone out there was in such a good mood so it was the perfect crowd. They had a surprise performer and it was Kardinal Offishall! He put on such a good show as well before he came on, DJ Team Canada spun who were so good! I just want to say a huge thank you to the Molson Canadian team! You guys rock!

    Friday, Friday, Friday!!!

The weekend already! Woohoo! If your looking to go see a movie on the weekend, let's just say that in my opinion Bangkok Dangerous was not the best I've seen. Mastermind and myself were at the screening last night and I think both us left with that scrunchy look on our faces. It started off holding my interest but ultimately ended poorly. If your a big Nicholas Cage fan you might enjoy it though. Just my two cents on the movie front. Tomorrow I'm off to the Molson Mega Keg party which I already can't sit still for! If you are heading up say hi and we will cheers together! If your sticking around town tomorrow is the first Arts day in the city. Check out the Jubilee Auditorium events if your into it. Have a great weekend! Talk to you Monday!

Couldn't even think of what it must be like!

I have been reading up on Hurricane Gustav lately and all the damage it has done and it just makes me feel so torn. I could not imagine this massive storm coming through and destroying everything! I saw pictures of people going back to where their homes used to be will absolutely nothing to their names. I think you would feel so helpless. And I know ever day there are disasters be it from a storm or something else but can you even think of what it would be like to go through something like that. On a side note, my condolences to the family of the fallen solider from Calgary. I have a girlfriend who's boyfriend is currently with the tour over there and I see her worry all the time so I don't know what it must be like to receive the news.

    Where to start...

This past week has been a wirlwind! Busy in a good way though! Let's see last week filling in for Dani on the Morning show was so much fun! It's always so fun to be able to mess around with the guys in the morning. The things they come out of their mouths I swear! Never a dull moment, that's for sure! On the weekend I had my little nieces big 3rd bday party! It was so sweet to see her crusin around. It's scary how fast they grow! Today was neat, the girls from Girlicious came into the studio. They talked with Mastermind and ofcourse did the famous 98 second hot seat. They were super excited for the concert tonight so if your headed down for the show hope you have fun! If you have any reviews of the concert let us know.

    The sun came out!

It started off a bit dreary but luckily it turned around. I have to give props to Influence Salon!!! If your looking for a place to treat yourself this is the place. Lorriane (my hair dresser), Wendy and the entire staff there are soo great. You get arm massages while you wait and chocolate when you leave so good. mmmm. Check it out forsure if you are wanting a new style, I highly recommend them. Well tomorrow morning I am able to fill in for Dani on the Morning show continuing through until Friday, so excited! I always have so much fun with the crazy boys in the morning. Can't wait to see what will happen! Do do do! On a sidenote I recently listen to the Lady Gaga Cd and if your looking for a girlie - put in the car on your way out for a Friday night cd, this is perfect. It's really up beat and fun. Pokerface is on repeat in my car at the moment. If you check it out let me know how you like it.

    Great friends!

Well Happy Monday. Another weekend passed but hopefully yours was great. Mine was filled with tennis, golf and friends. Saturday night I got together with my "sex and the city girlfriends" (My certain group of ladyfriends that get together every couple of months.....Kristin, Dani, Sara, Bishop and Tallis.) We started the evening with a ladies poker night! I have never played before so it was a learning curve but so fun! I lost BUT I have my eye on the big prize for next time. My one girlfriend Bishop made a special "Poker Princess crown" that the winner of the night takes home, they will then have to display it somewhere in their home and then when we have another poker night bring it back for the hopeful winner.

    The big day!

Hey guys! Sorry I didn't get a chance to blog the past two days, had to run quickly both days after work. So today was the big Vibe 98.5 Sticker patrol giveaway. Congrats to Gabriel! He was our big winner! I could not imagen how it would feel to win! Personally I get so nervous when we pull all the names out with the reverse draw. What a great way to start the weekend! It's Friday and all I can think about is how excited I am to do laundry....haha wow.. so sad. Hopefully I'll have some more excitement than that. Have a good one!

    It feels like Tuesday...

Well it's Tuesday and it sure feels like it to me! Maybe it's the weather. speaking of the weather....Just a heads up if you were planning on heading down to Globalfest this evening or on Thursday night it has been postponed due to weather issues. Don't stress though the Globalfest organizers have reshed. the international fireworks. USA will go tomorrow night and Spain will happen on Friday. Keep your tickets, they will still be valid for the specific show. So since you can't do that this evening think about coming to see me. I'll be down at Tantra filling in for Claire.

    Summer Heat!

Well we haven't been this hot since 1919! At one point today we broke a weather record. The previous temp. to beat was 33.3C and today we hit 33.7C. Wow I love summer! I'm sure everyone is feeling the heat, especially if your like myself and don't have air conditioning. OOh the pain! Hope the weekend was good!

    Weekend!

Happy Friday! So last night I was at Snatch Rock Bar and saw the neatest thing. I personally do not have any tattoo's, I have nothing against them but I just haven't thought of anything that I would want to permanetly put on myself. But one of the bartenders down there came over and showed us his tattoo only I have never seen such a tattoo in my life! This specialty tatty can only be seen when your under black light, so in normal light it can't be seen. So neat! He brought over a blacklight and as soon as he put it over the spot the tattoo lit up! I had never heard of such a thing before. Found it interesting so I thought I would share. Lots to do this weekend with reggaefest and Globalfest. Both great events to go to so hopefully you get some time to check them out. Have a good one.

    Mastermind has me cravin.

So for the past couple of days Mastermind has been talking about the best burger places in the city. You know the one's that are like home made mmm! He's been asking everyone to call/txt in with your favorite spots. Apparently he raves of Boogie Burgers, so we are hitting that up next week. My fav is back in Saskatoon...Fuddruckers! mmm sooo good. If you have any fav's here in the city makesure you send Mastermind an email he'd love to hear. I'm down at Snatch rock bar tonight so if your looking to get out come join me.

    It's Wednesday.

Wow this week is flying by at least for me anyways. Hope yours is to! Especially since we are susposed to get up to 30 degree's on the weekend. Soo good! Tonight I'm down at the Backalley for Ladies night, join me if you are wanting to get out.

    Fueling up?

In the news today Petro Canada has said that due to a refinery in Edmonton being closed last week Alberta and B.C. are now suffering a shortage of fuel. I usually top up at a Petro Canada and was thinking about how you would know if the gas station that your about to pull up to has run out. Well apparently if you see the price zeroed out on the big signs that means that that certain station is low on fuel. So just a heads up incase your in a hurry one day. They did say that they are doing everything possible to fix this even bringing in trucks with gasoline so hopefully the shortage won't last to long.

    Monday Aug.11th

Ok let's see.... this weekend was good, had Claire's wedding on Saturday! She looked really beautiful and so happy! The wedding was held at a golf course just outside of town and the view was amazing! So now I guess congrats officially Claire! Sunday was pretty lazy but I did end up going for the first time to the Calgary Farmers Market out at the Currie Barracks. It was really neat to see all the things that everyone has to offer. uuuh and the home made pies and desserts looked and smelled so good! I have to talk about this, today I went and got a new phone. Mastermind and I were talking about customer service on air today after I told him my experience from this morning.

    Happy Friday!

I don't think there is a person in the world that doesn't like shorty weeks! Happy Friday. Well not to much planned for the weekend but tomorrow is a really special day for someone at our work. Claire is getting married tomorrow! I will be heading down to see how beautiful she looks so CONGRATULATIONS babes!

If your around C.O.P tomorrow morning.......

Well tomorrow kicks off the summer Olympic's in Beijing but here in the city we have our own festivities happening. Tomorrow morning at 10 Am C.O.P will be lighting the cauldron to show support for our Canadian athletes. There are over 330 Canadians over there competing for the gold. So if your in the area make sure to watch out for it.

    Looking for a book?

I was down in Eau Claire today in the sun and this big breeze blew through, it felt so good and made me think of one of my favorite books. Robin Sharma is the author and this particular book that I'm talking about is called the greatness guide. You know how some books just change your life and the way you see things this book did that for me. I highly recommend it to anyone and everyone. But my point being.... in the book Sharma references a quote from someone he came across. Sharma met this man at a golf course, where he was just standing there with his eyes closed. Sharma asked the man what he was doing and his reply was "I'm big into breezes".

    Tuesday Aug.5th

So made it back from Penticton B.C. in one piece which is always good! I hope everyone had a great long weekend. After having road trips like that I always kick myself for not doing that kind of stuff more often. It's so easy to just stay home sometimes but I find you get so refreshed when you head out of town even if it's for a day. The first night my roommate and I stopped in Revelstoke (she plays on a ball team and they had a tournament out there) It was really fun but yes this night we did end up sleeping in the car which was not so good. Eeh! I swear we thought we were going to die because it got really cold over night. Saturday morning we continued on the trek for Penticton and once we got there I was in amazement. It is such a beautiful place! Just being by the water makes such a difference for me. gorgeous! We really lucked out and were able to get a hotel room so no more sleeping in the car! haha. We met so many great people out there, had B.C. fruit, life she was good! So now were back for a shorty week, tonight if your looking for something to do I am filling in for Claire down at Tantra so come join me for a few drinks if your up for keeping the long weekend going.

    Wooohooo! Long Weekend!

Happy long weekend! Hopefully everyone gets some down time. As for myself I'm off to Penticton. Have you ever had one of those random trips that you don't plan anything and just get in your car and go? Well that's my roommates and my plan(or is that unofficial plan hehe) Were heading out as soon as I'm done here with a tent, no place to really stay and might even end up sleeping in the car. I'm sure I'll have some interesting stories for you next week! If your staying in town for the weekend please do me proud and sport your green! Saskies unite! The stamps vs riders goes down tomorrow.

    Big buzz

Well it was a big day around here. The Vibe Morning show made the announcement that Ryan Seacrest will be joining our team. So cool! Starting Aug.18th the big guy will be broadcasting from his studio's in L.A. but for us! He starts at 10am and goes until 2pm. I'm really excited to hear him and see what celeb's will come into the studio. Hope you guys enjoy it too!

    Back in Cowtown

Hi! Well back from Saskie and five days felt like only a couple. But I think that's usually the way it goes. Home was great! I spent time with the family and loved it! I'm really close with my parents so having to leave is always hard but hopefully I'll be able to head back sometime soon. I also got to see my little niece! She is the cutest thing ever, she's almost 3 now and it's so neat to see how her personality is developing. Cutest thing.... I put her in her car seat and she starts crying so hard and I kept asking "what's the matter babes" and she was saying something I just didn't pick up on her jibberish for awhile and then it click...

    It's Friday! - July 25th.

Happy Friday! Well I hope the weekend's good for everyone! I'm off to Saskie, going back home until next Wednesday!!! So sorry I won't be blogging for the first half of next week. I'm so excited! I can't wait to see my Family, friends and dogs! And do those simple things like sitting on the back deck with coffee in the sun! OOH so good! Well hopefully I'll come back with some good stories to write about. Have a good one!

    If you like art.....

Mark Sept.6th on your calendars as Art day! The Province just announced this date to honor Alberta's top artists. The Provinces Culture Minister hopes that everyone will participate in an arts event or activity to celebrate the occasion. If you have anything or know of anything that's happening for this let me know at cloucks@vibe985.com.

    Follow up to yesterday's blog

Hey guys! Ok so here we have it! Yesterday I talked about dialing a number that enables you to bypass the ringing and it instantly gets you to the person's voice mail. (This was real in the States and I wondered if it was possible here in Canada) So we all have Cheryl to thank! She wrote to me and told me the secret! (Thanks Cheryl!!!) Excellent, no more of those awkward moments or having fear to cancel a date! It's so bad I know! But come on, I'm sure everyone at some point in their lives has hoped that the other person wouldn't pick up for whatever reason. So with no further adieu (drum roll please!) Here are the steps. (At least on the Telus network)......

    Too funny!

I came across this today and found it pretty funny. I'm sure we've have all had moments like this! Ya know when you have to call someone and you really don't want to actually talk to them and hope like crazy you get their voicemail. Well.... a company in the states makes it possible to get connected to voicemail right away. The article I found talks about how if you want to break up with someone this is the perfect way. Terrible! haha I never recommend that one guys! So apparently there is a certain number you dial before punching in the person's number and it by passes the potentially awkward moments. Haha how many people have hoped they'd get their bosses voice mail when they don't want to go into work and can just easily give an excuse with no fear of any questions!?

    What a game!

Hope the weekend was good! As for mine it was eventful with lots of sunshine. Sunday was busy as my girlfriends and I headed to the Sun and Salsa Fest. Lots to see for sure! That is my favorite festival all year so it was great that we had nice weather. Our fav. Salsa was booth #18! mmm soo good! There's something about fresh salsa that's just so great. AFter this we hit up the Elbow for a little rafting. Now I have to mention this.... If your from Saskie WOW!!! What a game! Saturday the Riders played Montreal and I don't think I have ever seen such a good game! Needless to say the Riders won but the way that it went back and forth was so exciting! Go Riders go. I know, I know everyone tells me that since I live here now I have to turn over to the Stamps and yes I do like them (my Second fav. team!) for sure but I can't abandon my roots haha.

    Happy Friday!!! July 18th.

It's Friday, Life she's good! Last night I was down at Snatch Rock Bar for our brand new night at Vibe 98.5. The place is neat, very different than any other bar in the city. Last night was also the kick off to The Ms. Planet Beach international 2008 spokesmodel competition. If you are wanting to get discovered as a model this is such a great opportunity the prizes are amazing! ( Including a grand prize of $100,000 Cash!!!) If your interested head to their website. www.snatchrockbar.com and register. The comp is held every Pink Thursday until the finals on Aug.7th. Guys you can also come down and actually help judge so don't think they forgot you.

    De-Stress!

Are you as attached to your cell phone as much as I am? I was reading this morning about how The Fairmont Hotel out in Banff, Jasper, Lake Louise and Whistler have started what they call an "Electronic Rehab Getaway"! Love it! As soon as you check in you hand over your Blackberry etc. and aren't allowed to have it back until you leave, thus out of sight out of mind. They have certain activities attached to this package as well but I just love the thought of this one simple thing. I try on Sunday's to not look at my phone as much and even an hour makes a difference! This got my thinking about trying to make more time for yourself.

    Wednesday!!!

I Can't believe it's Wednesday already! Just finished my traffic shift and am heading down to the Backalley as it is ladies night! I'm there every Wednesday and it never gets old. We literally have so much fun with the staff and everyone who comes down. So I know it's just after Stampede but if your going through party withdrawal then come with us! If you can't make it tonight I'll update you on any scandal tomorrow. Do do do!

    Stampede is over.

Well hopefully you all made it through Stampede!!! A Lot has been happening in my lifetime since the last time I blogged. Let's see....I made a quick visit out to B.C. after one of my girlfriends mothers passed away. It was so upsetting to see her go through this but the trip turned out ok, I'm just happy that I got to be with her for a bit. This kind of stuff always makes you think, always let the people you hold close to you know that you love them! Life is too short not to! After that trip stampede had hit the city! WoooHOoo! I don't know about you guys but it I could really feel it in the air, or wait maybe that was just the heat from all the deep fryers down on the grounds. Another year passed and I still have yet to try the Deep Fried Coke...soo dissapointing! If you did I'd love to hear what it's actually like.

    Friday

Happy Friday! Finally some nice days in a row! Wow it's amazing what sunshine can do for a person's mood! Since my last blog I've been back home to Saskatchewan and while I was there I saw the first sign of spring. Hahaha I know this will make it seem like it's a small town but I promise it's not. (not that there's anything wrong with that!) But in Saskatoon we have this Dairy Queen on a major road and it closes for winter, it's a walk up one so you can't eat inside. And every year when it opens that signals the first sign of spring! You always know cause so many people are lined up. MMMM ice cream! So hopefully Spring will actually stick around for us out here! Does anyone have any Childhood places like that out here? Maybe I can adapt a spot out here in Calgary. Email me if you have any suggestions cloucks@vibe985.com.

    Hey guys!

Hey guys! Sorry I haven't blogged for awhile, these past couple of weeks have been so crazy! In a good way but still crazy! Finally got the move out of the way which was a big thing on my mind. I can't wait for the day that I don't have to move again! Been busy helping with the Diva Salon Spa/Vibe 98.5 $100,000 Star Search, auditions are THIS SATURDAY! So if your an artist and want a shot at $100,000 (crazy!) come out to Tantra April the 12th at 8am! We have had so much fun with this competition in the past and I'm so excited that it's back! It's such a great opportunity to check out new and exciting groups/artists.

    Happy Monday!

So thankfully made it through the big move on the wknd! I think I have started to grow accustom to moving now. Hopefully I won't have to pack up for awhile now. Things are starting to get back to normal (if you can say that word when reffering to this building) now at work with everyone coming back from holidays. Hopefully you checked out the Fuzzy tube for today, Chad's welcome back surprise finally all came together and fuzzy did a great job on the clip! Check it out if you haven't seen it yet.

    A great cause!

Hi Duders! Looking for a great cause to support? We talked about the TAP Project this morning that I thought was great! The TAP project is a UNICEF-led grassroots initiative to provide safe drinking water for children around the world. If you are wanting to help, head to any Swiss Chalet, Milestones, Montana's Cookhouse, Kelsey's and Harvey's restaurants around town until Saturday(the 29th) And you can donate 1 simple dollar for your glass of water and that small donation goes so far! For every dollar raised, 40 kids will have clean drinking water for one day, or one kiddie will be provided with clean water for 40 days!

Jaime Lynn Spears making the morning show fight?

Wow heated debates this morning! We didn't actually fight but we did had lots of laughs! In Celebrity Sleaze we broke the news about Jaime Lynn Spears possibly being engaged to her man. Fuzzy and Mastermind bet that Jaime was the one paying for the big rock since she probably makes more money than her guy. This sparked the debate on whether or not it is okay for the woman to buy or have a part in paying for her engagement ring. The guys thought it was perfectly okay for the lady to buy the gem. But not me! Don't get me wrong I truthfully feel bad even if I borrow $20 from a boyfriend even though Matermind believe's I'm a gold digger. Hehe. But the engagement ring to me is important. It doesn't have to be huge but something about his manliness would seem tarnished if I had to pay for my own. Everyone called in to voice there opinon. Most sided with me, even guys! Perfect! Tonight is Backalley night! I'll be there at 7pm come join!

    Captains Log #1

Happy Tuesday! Hurray! My first blog! I know it's a bit late but happy Easter! This past weekend thankfully I was adopted for Easter. Hehe. Since my family is back in Saskatchewan I would have been left to most likely a cereal dinner. I'm not the best cook! But one of my great friends Asha and her family invited me for turkey dinner so to them, thank you! This week Dani is on holidays so I am graced with Fuzzwick and Mastermind's crazy antic's in the mornings. This morning we had fun trying to think up new slogan's for Calgary since the idea is being tossed around to re-vamp our old one.(Calgary heart of the new west). If you have any idea's we'd love to hear them!
