My Banana slide was never this good

So www.cdntoyassn.com  or the Canadian Toy Association has listed off the Hottest Summer Toys for 2008 and it made me think how did I make it through my childhood with water balloons, garbage bags lined up to mimic those yellow banana slides and the playground made of old used tires.

I think the kids of this generation are so lucky. I wish I could turn back the hands of time for many reasons but this is now a big one.

Take a look at the toys that kids get to play with this summer and you'll agree.

There's the 3D Activity Chalk kit that allows kids to draw 3D Sidewalk art. Then there's the Blast n Launch that propels Spiderman rockets up to 200 feet without batteries or fuel. Or how about the Fun Roller that basically is a huge inflatable hamster wheel for kids to roll around in the park.  I also love the GeoSafari Mystery Rock. Kids get to use actual methods used by archaeologists to excavate 10 buried treasures from this rock! I also love the Marshmallow Fun Bow and Mallow. Shoot marshmallows at people up to 30 feet. Playing with food has never been so fun.

I might have to start babysitting more so I can have an excuse to buy all these fun toys.
