So I read this story yesterday... 

Des Moines, Iowa ... A college student was charged with assaulting a police officer ... with M&Ms.Ian McGuire, 20, was arrested early Sunday at a convenience store after Drake University security guards noticed the candies falling on the ground around the officer, who was investigating a hit-and-run accident involving an allegedly intoxicated man. When the officer turned around, an M&M hit his shoulder, according to a police report. McGuire claimed he threw the candy because he was "sticking up for his friend," who was reportedly the suspect in the hit-and-run.

I'm Not sure if the kids was charged with anything but REALLY!?!?!? Couldn't the guy just have been told to get lost!?!?! Arrested!?!?! M&M's!?!?! Now I am not condoning any type of interfering when it comes to cops doing their jobs but M&M's can't hurt right!?!?! This really is silly...I will say this though with all the controversy surrounding "Tasers" maybe we should just throw M&M's at "bad guys"...At least in Des Moines, Iowa you can arrested for doing so.
