We've pretty much known each other our whole lives. Jon's uncle worked with my parents. We first dated in grade 8 on Valentine's day.
How long have you been together?
We've been together for 2 years, we got engaged March 14, 2007.
Where was your first kiss?
Our first kiss was in grade 8. I was sitting on a ledge Jon went in for the kill, I fell backwards landed on a couch behind me and ended up hitting a coffee table. We've gotten better!
What will be your wedding song?
"For the Longest Time" Billy Joel
What do you believe makes a marriage last?
Realizing that the woman is always right. Happy wife, happy life! Trust, patience, honesty, team work and adventure.
What makes you different from other couples?
Every time we go on a date we pretend we are in the country of the food we are about to eat. When we have French, we are in Paris. When we have butter chicken, we visit India.
What's the thing that you love the most about your partner?
Grooms answer: The fact that almost effortlessly she can make anything in the world possible.
Bride's answer: His strength through adversity. He never uses anything as an excuse in life.
What's the thing that annoys you the most about your partner?
Grooms answer: She pairs her socks and washes them like that.
Bride's answer: He says he's not hungry when I offer him food and then he wants my first bite, my last bite, and bite for bite in between.
What is the best date that you two have been on?
A picnic on the north shore of Hawaii. We sat on the sand eating fresh seared tuna, wild rice, roasted potatoes and salad with papaya dressing. The waves were at our feet and Jonnie was terrified. I wondered why, considering he was swimming in the ocean minutes before.
Who will be the first person to cry at your wedding?
Grooms answer: Probably Christine, but hopefully there tears of happiness.
Bride's answer: If we end up winning this wedding it will definitely be me. It will be a dream come true.
Who will the person that says or does something to embarrass you at your wedding?
Grooms answer: My older cousin Eric. We lived together so he knows all the juicy details. In addition to the fact that he has dedicated his life to tormenting me.
Bride's answer: I have a big family so it's fair game for all of them. Especially my parents! When Jon proposed they pretty much gave him a receipt with a lifetime return policy. How embarrassing! My mom was like "Jon if you don't want her, we will always love her". She meant well.
