Have a Healthy SuperBowl!!!!

So Yesterday I posted how to have a perfect Superbowl Party!!! But it wasn't the healthiest.  Maybe your still working on your new years resolution or trying to keep in shape EVEN superbowl Sunday!! Here are a few things you can substitute the chips, chili, and chips with this Sunday!!!

DIET & EXERCISE: Have A Healthy Super Bowl Party (Posted 3:00 AM, 2/4/2010)

Grocery stores across the country have set up giant displays of soda, chips, dip, beer, burgers, and more. It's a jungle out there and if you're not careful when getting ready for your Super Bowl party, you'll fill your car's trunk with nothing but toxic junk food.

Just because you're trying to stay healthy doesn't mean you can't have fun and snack at the party this weekend. Here are some snacks that are healthy -- but also tastier than raw baby carrots:

1. Turkey Meatballs -- Frozen turkey meatballs have half the fat of beef meatballs and taste great. Just throw them in a pan with low-sodium spaghetti sauce and serve with toothpicks.

2. Guacamole -- If you're going to have fat, it might as well be good fat, which avocados deliver. You can look for it in the deli or make your own. Serve it with fat-free tortilla chips and you can chow down without feeling too guilty.

3. Hummus -- In the same category as guacamole, only with chickpeas. Slice whole-grain pita into triangles and toast for make-your-own healthy "chips."

4. Steamed Shrimp -- Four ounces of steamed shrimp contains 80 calories, 0 carbohydrates, and 1 gram of fat.

5. Nuts -- Look for raw, unsalted nuts like almonds and cashews.

I'll probably stick with beer and chips, but hopefully this helped somebody!!
