Monday January 4th 2010: This SUCKS!!!!

So over the holidays we had a malfunction with our vacuum, and i took it in to get the cord replaced.

The place I took it to get fixed told me that it would take almost $500 to fix the cord and a bunch of other stuff.

When I told them I just wanted the cord done they said they couldn't just do the cord.

So I took my vacuum home and played the roll of MacGyver.

Armed with a roll of electrical tape, a knife, and a cord from an old lamp...i fixed the cord.

Take that SEARS!!!

Now I do realize that this is just a temporary fix...and we've been talking about getting central vac installed since it's already been roughed in.

But what should I look for in a central vac system?

Do you have a system that you love? One that you absolutely hate?

Lemme know.
