Victor de Lorenzo

Best-known as the drummer for The Violent Femmes throughout the 1980s, Victor Delorenzo came into his own in the mid-'90s with a solo career. Though he had released a solo project as early as 1990 (Peter Corey Sent Me on Dali/Chameleon), he recorded only sporadically during the early '90s, mostly for his friends. After hearing several demos from his second album, Pancake Day, the label Almo Sounds released it in 1996. The record received positive reviews from many publications. ~ John Bush, All Music Guide
