The Maze - Armageddon

Generic, at times tedious, minor-key psychedelia with strong hints of Iron Butterfly and The Doors. The Iron Butterfly elements gain the much stronger hand, with the occasional strong moment emerging when the vocal harmonies come to the fore. The CD adds six bonus tracks: four alternate takes of songs from the album and two folk-rock flavored tracks (including a female vocalist) cut in 1967, when they were known as Stonehenge. ~ Richie Unterberger, All Music Guide
