Kicking off one of the best thought-out archive packages of the 1990s, Act 1 combines a beautifully remastered rendering of the hitherto poorly treated Revolution hits package with a raucous live recording taken from the band's 1981 Swedish tour. The quality is not altogether pristine, but it is impossible to resist the excitement that radiated from the stage, nor to pick fault with the repertoire that night -- the opening "Original Sin" draws Kirk Brandon toward one of his finest ever vocal performances, while "Westworld" simply whoops and loops with a passion that almost upstages the studio version. Read More
