Two quite different versions of "Solanus" appear on this release -- one monstrously intense, the other hauntingly sparse. "Solanus (Original)" lays down a straight-forward rhythm composed of truly pounding bass beats, which hit hard but seem cushioned by distortion and other forms of digital alteration that bring strange character to this simple track. "Solanus (Extracted)" strips away the bouncy percussive rhythm and the bass beats of the original, leaving only the subtle aura of a slowly modulating buzz and some non-secular looped sounds. Read More
