The spate of electronic jazz-fusion records of the early '70s provided well-known jungle producers from Ltj Bukem to Photek to Kid Loops with acres of material from which to sample and crib their own atmospheres. Quite possibly the best of these "fusion fusions," Equations by Endemic Void wasn't given half the hype it deserved. Danny Koffey's Rhodes keys are tender and fragile in all the right places on the intros to "Lion Stone" and "Inner Daze," though they inevitably give way to a set of beefed-up basslines and stellar breaks programming practically unequalled in the field of living-room jungle. Read More
