U. Srinivas & U. Ramesh - Mandolin Duets

Excellent collaborative venture of duet settings for mandolin. Kritis are part of the Southern Indian tradition of Hindu devotional hymns. Usually they are compositions with historically known composers. Tyagaraja, for example, four of whose compositions appear here, is one of South India's foremost saint-composers. U. Rajesh's playing style is so similar to U. Srinivas's that is difficult telling them apart on this recording. Warmly recommended. ~ Ken Hunt, All Music Guide
